Facilities available at Sowmiyah Yard:

As a part of its growth plan, OMEC has associated itself with M/s Sowmyah Tech in order to

strengthen its capabilities to carry out Fabrication of structural and piping work. The facility is

strategically near Chennai so as to provide easy access to the Port of Chennai. This shall provide

leverage to OMEC to cater to the supplies of Middle East and South East Asian market.

The fabrication yard is well connected to the highway and it just 120 KM from the port of Chennai. The yard is developed to an area extent of 5.5 Acres and also has undeveloped area of about 5 acres which could be developed for use as required.

MANUFACTURING FACILITIES:

Sufficient covered space of 3320 sqft. ,and open floor space of 1,51,200 sq.ft is available. These

facilities include material preparation, manufacturing and special process using carbon steel, Boiler

quality steel and stainless steel of various grades. Handling facilities like Mobile Crane (12 MT

capacity) and “A” Frame of 10 MT capacity is available.

Validation and Consultancy

We offer peer review consultancy for review of MEP design, Documentation, Test sheets, formats

etc to validate the designs of the customer / contactors.

Gap Analysis & Feasibility Studies

We conduct feasibility studies, identify and analyze the missing links for the customer to

acquire / occupy to new building and factories. We also provide solutions and services to overcome

the shortfall if any in line with the statutory requirements.

Power and Infrastructure Audits

We conduct review/audit of MEP infrastructure provisions for critical equipment, areas,

processes, identifying single point of failures, verifying redundancy provisions, assessing recovery

capability of services in case of a failure etc.

BIM (Building Information Modeling)

Design, simulation and visualization of Building construction – Modeling of Architectural,
