Omega Air fi lter cartridge production includes 8 fi ltration stages (B, P, R, M, S and A), which are designed to remove particulates, water, oil vapours, taste and odours from compressed air. Two stage fi lter elements are developed: A2 for high effi cient removal of oil vapours and odours and H2 for high effi cint removal of carbon monoxide from compressed air.

The design of fi lter media ensures the eff ective and effi cient removal most of contaminates in compressed air systems. For CO and CO2 removal please contact us.

Materials are corrosion-proof and suitable for most of applications.

The fi lter and cartridge size is determined by the compressed air fl ow. They are all designed for operation pressure up to 16 bar (232 psi).

* Filter elements ’’A, A2, H2’’ must be changed periodically to suit application but at least every 6 months. Activated carbon fi lters must not operate in oil saturated conditions.

Effi cient removal of condensate from a compressed air system has several advantages: extended life of compressed air tools, improved lubrication of all pneumatic components, improved painting processes, reduced corrosion, and elimination of freezing.

These advantages can all be achieved with the installation of Omega Air CKL-B Cyclone separators. This high-effi ciency separators will remove condensed water droplets, with a very low pressure drop. They also provide added protection and improved performance for dryers and fi lters.

Typically, water separators are installed downstream of after coolers, air receivers, refrigerant dryers and strategic points in pipe work installation.

Standard equipment includes automatic condensate drain AOK 16B.

patented

Electronic condensate drains - ECD-B series, is used for the automatic discharge of accumulated condensate from compressed air systems. The basic principle is contactless measurement of the acumulated condensate which is then discharged without the loss of valuable compressed air.

Condensate fl ow constantly fl ushes debris out of the valve. Thats why uninterrupted operating is guaranteed.

Incorrect plunger position is fi rst sign of debris blocking the valve. By detecting incorrect position, blocked plunger release procedure is started. This procedure assures safety and reliable plunger operating. No staff intervention is needed. This procedure starts automatilally.

ECD-B Series is made of aluminium housing with plastic cover, which protects electronics inside the device from outside harmful conditions.

Benefi ts

- robust aluminium housing - integrated fi lter mesh - compact design - two-way connections - eloxated housing- contactless measuring- direct acting, self cleaning valve (patented)- blocked plunger release procedure- operating diagnostic monitoring- warning LED light for ’’drain operating’’ and ’’alarm’’- AC versions (for DC version please contact Omega Air)- IP 54 electrical protection

The new generation of electronic condensate drains - EMD 12 series, is used for the automatic discharge of accumulated condensate from compressed air systems.

This procedure starts automatilally.

automatic condensate drains - 20 bar

The AOK 20 is used when larger amounts of condensate (up to 300 l/h) must be automatically discharged from fi lters, pressure vessels and cyclone separators. It ensures reliable operation up to 20 barg (290 psig). When the condensate exceeds the discharge level, the fl oat rises, opens the discharge aperture and discharges condensate from the system. We reccomend the installation of the nipple, which improves the performance of the AOK 20B.

MCD - Manual Condensate Drain

Manual Condensate Drains MCD are used for discharging condensate from fi lters and other vessels with 1/2’’ drain connections. In order to prevent condensate from becoming re-entrained in the airstream we reccomend controlling the condensate level in fi lter bowl, which requires an automatic drain trap. For improved, automatic discharge we recommend the use of other Omega Air products.

Technical data- material: brass- operating temperature range: 1,5 to 65 °C (35 to 149 °F)- operating pressure range: 0-16 bar (0-232 psi)- connection: R 1/2’’- oil resistant o-ring

AOK 16B - Automatic Condensate Drain

AOK 16B is primarly used in fi lters. Its task is the automatic discharge of condensate and oil. When the accumulated condensate exceeds to discharge level, the fl oat rises, opens the outlet aperture, and discharges condensate from the system.A manual emergency drain allows the operator to manually drain the fi lter, and confi rm the automatic operation.

Technical data- material: durable plastic, brass- operating temperature range: 1,5 to 65 °C (35 to 149 °F)- operating pressure range: 0-16 bar (0-232 psi)- connection: R 1/2’’- oil resistant o-ring

Filter cartridges for high pressure applications are designed for pressure range up to 400 bar.

Because of these operating parametres, support mesh is made of durable expanded stainless steel mesh, which protects cartridge construction against destruction.

End caps are made of aluminium, thread on upper end cap additionally ensures safety installation into fi lter head.

* Filter elements ’’A’’ must be changed periodically to suit application but at least every 6 months. Activated carbon fi lters must not operate in oil saturated conditions.

** 45 °C / 139°F for active carbon cartridges!
