On successful completion of the semester 1 & 2 Diploma in Nautical Science is awarded by INDIAN MARITIME UNIVERSITY (IMU) on completion of the pre-sea training he undertakes the sea phase compressing of 18 months comprising semester 3,4 & 5 of on board ship residential training along with correspondence course with INDIAN MARITIME UNIVERSITY (IMU). On successful completion of phase II (semester3, 4 &5) IMU will award the trainee with Advance Diploma in Nautical Science, Trainee is required to undergo 4 months post-sea training in any training institute (2nd Mate Function) on Successful completion of the training & 'Passing the exam he will be awarded Certificate of Competency by Director General of Shipping and B.Sc. Degree in Nautical Science by INDIAN MARITIME UNIVERSITY (IMU).

ELIGIBILITYGraduates Engineers with 55% marks in the final year, minimum 50 % marks in English at 10th or 12th level is must. Should be fluent in written and spoken English.

TRAINING DETAILS This unique sector-specific programme which is the first of its kind in India focuses on the needs of appropriate education and training in the areas of Electrical and Electronics. The programme of study has been carefully designed by experts and professionals in shipping practices. Yet another unique feature of this programme is that the curriculum will be largely handled by industry faculty who are experienced professionals in this field. Payback during Period : Being a Trainee navigating officer he will have to work on board ship for 18 months. Stipend in this duration is Rs.10,000/- to Rs.20,000/- per month.

Note : 1. 1st contract duration 18 months (Total payback 18*15,000 =2,70,000/-) 2. In 3rd Phase they have earn & learn program in Australia for 06 months where they can earn approximately Rs. 3,50,000/- in this duration.

Next Position : SECOND OFFICER

Salary Expected : 2 to 2.5 Lakh per month

POST : ETO

Total Training Charges : Rs. 4,50,000/-Bank loan up to : Rs. 3,60,000/- (Approx. 80%)Student has to pay : Rs. 90,000/- (In installment)

Training Duration : 4 Months (Pre-Sea Training) (Approved by D.G. Shipping, Government of India) + 4 Months (Work-Shop Training) + 9-12 Months on board training (Placement)

Pay back during training period: Joining as trainee Electrical Officer onboard ship for 12 months they will get a stipend of Rs.15,000/- to Rs.20,000/- p.m.

Note: 1st contract duration 12 months(Total payback 12*20,000 = Rs.2,40,000/-)

Next Position : SENIOR ELECTRICAL OFFICER

Salary Expected : 1.5 to 2 Lakh per month

POST : GME

Total Training Charges : Rs. 4,85,000/-Bank Loan up to : Rs. 3,88,000/- (Approx. 80%)Student has to pay : Rs. 97,000/- (In installment)

Training Duration :12 Months (Pre-Sea Training) (Approved by D.G.Shipping, Government of India) + 9-12 Months on board training (Placement)

Pay back during training period:Being a Trainee Marine Engineer once he will join onboard ship for 12 months he will get stipend of Rs.15,000/- to Rs.25,000/- p.m.

Next Position : FOURTH ENGINEER

Salary Expected : 1.75 to 1.80 Lakh per month
