Secondary testing and calibration

Protective relays, as well as recloser controls, must be tested throughout their life-cycle, from their initial development through production and commissioning to periodical maintenance during operation. Our test equipment is ideal for each of these phases and for any environment, including IEC 61850.

For calibrating power quality measurement devices, electricity meters or transducers, we also offer versatile and highly accurate testing solutions. Our easy-to-use database software, for central planning and management of all protection maintenance activities, completes the product range.

ADMO

ADMO is easy-to-use software for the central planning and management of all testing and maintenance activities for protection systems in the power industry. All assets managed with ADMO, asset data, location, maintenance cycles and associated test documents can be stored.

ARCO 400

The universal, rugged and lightweight three-phase testing solution with smart test adapters for any type of recloser control provides the fastest and easiest way to test all of the controller’s functions. Additionally, GPS-synchronized tests of distribution automation schemes are also possible.

CIBANO 500

The circuit breaker test system CIBANO 500 combines a digital low-resistance ohmmeter, timing and travel analyzer, and a coil and motor supply in a single device. This enables all standard tests to be carried out on all types of circuit breakers.

CMC 356

The CMC 356 is the universal test set for all generations and types of protection devices. Its six powerful current sources make the unit capable of even testing high-burden electromechanical relays with very high power demands.

CMC 256plus

The CMC 256plus is the ideal solution for applications requiring a high degree of accuracy. Not only is it an universal test set for protection devices but it is also a very accurate calibration tool for energy meters, power quality measurement devices, transducers, phasor measurement units, and many other devices.

CMC 353

With its lightweight and compact design the three-phase test set CMC 353 provides the perfect combination of portability and power. It is ideal for maintenance and commissioning tasks, particularly in industry, distributed generation, and medium- and low-voltage applications.

CMC 310

The CMC 310 is specifically designed for performing basic three-phase tests on protection and measurement devices. It’s operated by the CMControl P software which runs on the CMControl P unit, a Windows PC or an Android tablet.

CMControl

CMControl allows the quick and easy control of CMC test sets. It is specifically designed for manual testing in the field and available in two variants depending on the used CMC test set. Its intuitive touch screen user interface makes setting up tests with CMControl very convenient.

CMC 850

The small and light-weight CMC 850 is dedicated to IEC 61850. It focuses on the real-time communication methods of GOOSE and Sampled Values in order to interface with the devices under test. The CMC 850’s embedded functions provide additional IEC 61850 functionality.

CPC 100

Electrical tests on power transformers, instrument transformers, rotating machines, grounding systems, power lines, cables and circuit breakers can be performed with the CPC 100. It is the base for multiple accessories. These facilitate further applications, such as dissipation/power factor measurements, as well as line and ground impedance measurements.

CT Analyzer

The CT Analyzer determines all relevant current transformer values automatically and compares the results with the selected standard. Within seconds the device evaluates the current transformer in accordance with the relevant IEC or IEEE standard with the push of a button.

DANEO 400

DANEO 400 is a hybrid measurement system that records and analyzes all of the conventional signals (voltages, currents, hard wired binary status signals) and messages in the communication network of a substation and can thus provide information for assessing the proper coordination.

DIRANA

DIRANA can determine the condition of high-voltage insulation systems like in power transformers, bushings, cables and generators with dielectric response analysis. It also can determine the moisture content in oil-paper insulated dielectrics.

FRANEO 800

FRANEO 800 tests the mechanical and electrical integrity of power transformers after transportation or exposure to high fault currents. It uses the SFRA principle (Sweep Frequency Response Analysis) and measures the electrical transfer function over a wide range of frequencies.

IEDScout

IEDScout is an ideal tool for protection and substation automation engineers working with IEC 61850 devices. It allows an engineer to look inside of the IED and its communication. GOOSE messages can be simulated for testing purposes.

ISIO 200

ISIO 200 is a simple and versatile binary I/O terminal with an IEC 61850 interface. When combined with a CMC test set, ISIO 200 extends the binary I/O capability of the test system. As an SAS component, it handles additional binary signals.

MONGEMO

MONGEMO is a customizable and permanently installed system for the continuous on-line monitoring of partial discharges in the stator windings of rotating machines, such as generators and motors.

MPD series

The MPD 500 and MPD 600 are highly developed devices for measuring partial discharges (PD). Even the smallest PD pulses can be separated from interference and analyzed. The MPD series is suitable for many different PD testing applications.

OMS 605

The OMS 605 is a portable partial discharge monitoring system designed to inspect high-voltage assets under load. It can be employed for temporary and periodic, condition-based monitoring.

OMS 800

The OMS 800 is a permanently-installed system for the continuous online partial discharge (PD) monitoring of high-voltage cable systems under load. With its inductive power supply (IPS), it is the perfect solution for both buried cables and cables in confined spaces such as underground tunnels.

PDL 650

The PDL 650 is used for acoustic PD fault localization on power transformers. The software compares the data from multiple sensors and enters it into a geometric model. This allows the fault location to be identified reliably.

Primary Test ManagerTM

The Primary Test Manager™ (PTM) is a software for diagnosing the condition of power transformers, circuit breakers, and instrument transformers. The software guides the user through the testing process, assesses results in real time, and automatically generates protocols for all of the tests that have been performed. Due to its high-performance database, assets and associated test plans can be managed easily.

RelayLabTest

RelayLabTest is a powerful software for in-depth type and acceptance tests for protection devices by using CMC test sets. It enables the user to assess the overall performance of protective relays under realistic operating conditions.

RelaySimTest

RelaySimTest is a unique type of software for system-based and distributed protection testing using one or more CMC test sets. Its application-oriented testing only requires a minimum of test steps. It can reveal failures created during calculations as well those created during the relay or protection scheme set ups.

SVScout

SVScout subscribes to the Sampled Values streams from merging units and displays the waveforms of the primary currents and voltages in an oscilloscope view. It offers numerous functions for analyzing the data that it receives.

TANDO 700

The precise measurement and analysis system TANDO 700 measures Power/dissipation factor and capacitances on high-voltage equipment.

TESTRANO 600

TESTRANO 600 is a portable, three-phase power transformer test system. It supports the most common electrical tests done on power transformers for routine and diagnostic testing on site or during factory acceptance tests. With one setup for multiple tests, it reduces the rewiring effort during testing significantly.

Test Universe

The powerful Test Universe software suite is designed for controlling CMC test sets from a PC. It offers comprehensive functionality for manual and automated testing of protection and measurement devices.

VOTANO 100

VOTANO 100 can test all of the important parameters of voltage transformers quickly. It is the first portable test system that also features a high level of accuracy. The measured results are automatically assessed in accordance with IEEE and IEC standards.
