Appeal to relocate Lake View Roadration shop

Sir, The ration shop no. HC009 which was ina dilapidated condition was to be shifted to anew location on Lake View Road. However, thedecision was rescinded at the last minute andit is now operating out of shop no. HC007 whichis located in a makeshift shed. This has bur-dened the consumers as the shop is not able tohandle the additional quota and they are forcedto stand in long queues. Moreover there are acouple of industrial units and a poorly main-tained canteen close-by who are not keepingthe surroundings clean. At night the surround-ings are converted into an open urinal. Theissue was also brought to the notice of V. P.Kalairajan (T. Nagar MLA) in November lastyear and he had spoken to the Asst. Commis-sioner (Civil Supplies). After the publication of the let-ters, MTC officials have introduced white boardbuses on the route for the benefit of thepassengers. I even got this fact ratified with anMTC official. MTC had only been plying deluxebuses on the 12C route whose fare is muchhigher compared to the white board (ordinaryfare) buses.
