Day 1, Sunday, November 9, 2014: Depart the United States on our overnight flight to Israel…Dinner and break-

fast is served on board.

Day 2, Monday, November 10, 2014: Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport where we are met and assisted by our Ayelet

Representative…We meet out guide and begin our journey up the coast to Caesarea, where we view the amazing

Roman ruins including the Roman Theater and Aqueduct…Lunch and home hospitality in the Druze village of

Daliyat el-Carmel…Stop at the overlook in Haifa, where we take in the panoramic views of the port city, and ad-

mire the beautiful Bahai Temple and Persian Gardens… Continue to Megiddo, site of the Biblical Armageddon and

featured in James Michner’s “The Source”… Check into our kibbutz...Dinner and overnight at our kibbutz in the

Galilee.

Day 3, Tuesday, November 11, 2014: Breakfast… Morning boat ride from our kibbutz to the ancient site of

Capernaum, where we discover the amazing excavations…Continue to the Mt. of Beatitudes…In Tabgha we visit

the Church of Multiplication and view the intricate ancient mosaics…Continue to Cana…We visit Nazareth, where

we see the Basilica and St. Joseph’s House… We visit the Ancient Boat Museum…Return to our kibbutz for dinner

and overnight in the Galilee

Day 4, Wednesday, November 12, 2014: Breakfast…We travel up to the Golan Heights, passing old Syrian bun-

kers along the way…Take in the view of neighboring Syria from atop Har Bental… We stop at a Golan Winery for

a tour and tasting…We continue to the Tel Dan Nature Reserve…Stop at the Banias, the source of the Jordan

River…Visit the Baptismal site at the Jordan River…This evening, we eat dinner at a new brewery…Overnight at

our kibbutz in the Galilee.

Day 5, Thursday, November 13, 2014: Breakfast…Our first stop this morning is Safed, the center of Kabbalah

study and practice, where we visit the Ha’ari and Caro synagogues and have time to shop among the many artist stu-

dios and galleries…Continue to the crusader era city of Akko and see the British Prison…We stop in Rosh Hanikra,

where we discover the chalk-cliff grottoes carved out by the Mediterranean waters over time…Dinner and overnight

at our kibbutz on the shores of the Galilee.

Day 6, Friday, November 14, 2014: Breakfast… Visit the ancient Roman ruins at Beit Shean and the intricate mo-

saics of Beit Alpha…Arrive in Jerusalem…From the Mount of Olives we enjoy breathtaking views of Jerusalem’s

Old City and recite a special "She-He-Che-yanu"…Arrive at our hotel for check-in…Tonight we welcome Shabbat

with the people of Jerusalem at the Western Wall before enjoying Shabbat dinner at our hotel…Overnight Jerusa-

lem.

Day 7, Saturday, November 15, 2014: Breakfast…Optional morning Shabbat Worship services at Hebrew Union

College…We walk to the Old City and eat lunch in an Armenian restaurant before we enjoy a walking tour…Visit

the Church of Saint Anne, continuing along the Via Dolorosa, viewing the Stations of the Cross…Arrive at the

Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where we tour the many chapels and visit the Calvary and Tomb…Walk through the

Christian Quarter, Jewish Quarter and Arab Quarter…View the Tomb of David at Mount Zion and the Last Supper

Room…Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 8, Sunday, November 16, 2014: Breakfast…Optional Christian worship services…Today you may choose

among three options:

1. Day at leisure to enjoy Jerusalem.

2. Take an optional visit to the newly renovated Israel Museum, including the Shrine of the Book, which houses the

Dead Sea Scrolls, and the Billy Rose sculpture garden.

3. Take an optional tour to Masada…Depart to King Herod’s fortress and castle atop Masada, ascending by cable

car or snake path…Visit the remains of the walls, palaces, synagogue and the bathhouses, learning about the Jewish

Zealot’s last stand against the Roman forces…Descend by cable car…Take a short hike to the hidden waterfalls in

the desert oasis of Ein Gedi…Next we enjoy an unsinkable swim in the healing salty waters of the Dead Sea.

We reunite this evening for dinner and overnight Jerusalem.

Day 9, Monday, November 17, 2014: Breakfast…We begin in Rehovot, where we visit the Weitzman Institute,

where some of the brightest scientific minds are trying to solve the world’s biggest problems…Continue our jour-

ney to the Bet Guvrin region through the Haella Valley where the battle between David and Goliath took place…

Take part in a unique "hands-on" experience at the archeological dig in the caves of Tel Maresha…Dinner and over-

night Jerusalem.

(security permitting) Rachel’s Tomb…Visit Mt. Herzl and the new Mt. Herzl Museum… Continue to Yad Vashem,

the memorial to the Holocaust…Stop at the Knesset, Israel’s parliament building, where we have a unique photo

opportunity by the amazing outdoor bronze menorah sculpture…Head to Tel Aviv where we enjoy the entertainers,

artists, and craftspeople who bring the streets to life at Nachalat Binyamin and in the Carmel Market…Dinner and

overnight Tel Aviv.

Day 11, Wednesday, November 19, 2014: Breakfast…Our first stop this morning is Independence Hall, site of the

1948 signing of Israel’s Declaration of Independence…We continue to Old Jaffa, where we enjoy a walking tour

through the ancient port, with views of historic landmarks including St. Peter’s Church and the House of Simon the

Tanner…Pause for a moment of reflection at Rabin Square…We enjoy an early farewell dinner together at Dr.

Shakashuka before we transfer to the airport for our flight back to the United States.

Day 12, Thursday, November 20, 2014: We arrive back in the United States.
