Media analysisThe Cloud Direct media campaign generated a total of 21 pieces of coverage. Coverage secured spanned business, technology and channel publications. The majority of clips appeared in business and technology publications equally. 71% of clips were generated by press release pitching and distribution and 57% of clips appeared in Tier 1 media publications.

HighlightsThe launch of Cloud Direct received the most media attention and media briefings with SC Magazine and Cloud Pro resulted in editorial coverage which delved deeper into the Cloud Direct service. Leading cloud tech publication IT Pro covered the Fatal Attachment campaign, which also led to coverage in Yahoo! News. Thought leadership articles about file sharing were published in well-read technology and business publications Cloud Computing Intelligence and Business Computing World. A positive review of Cloud Direct was published on TechRadar which receives a global readership of 17 million.

Outside of the Cloud Direct remit, On Direct’s work with Benetton was featured in tier one technology publication Computer Weekly. In addition, a media opportunity for On Direct and customer Total Rehab Solutions was secured in the Sunday Times for a feature on cloud brokerage. The Sunday Times coverage is currently pending.

According to publication statistics the total readership of coverage secured to date is approximately 4, 201, 889 readers.

The monetary value of PR can be determined by first knowing the advertising value. PR takes the value of advertising and builds upon it based on enhanced impact. Editorial is third-party opinion, so the impact is considered three times that of a paid advertisement. Therefore, the PR value of coverage secured to date is £76, 500.
