Lessons Learned from Eagles…
American Bald Eagle
1. Be Committed to the Sanctity of Marriage
Proverbs 31:10-12 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than
rubies. 11Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. 12She brings him
good, not harm, all the days of her life.
1. Be Committed to the Sanctity of Marriage
Ecclesiastes 5:4-5 4 When you make a vow to God, do not delay in fulfilling it. He has no
pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow. 5 It is better not to vow than to make a vow and not fulfill it.
1. Be Committed to the Sanctity of Marriage
Malachi 2:14-16 “Do not break your marriage covenant…I hate divorce”
2. Be Cooperative in Mutual Hard Work
Deuteronomy 32:11 11 like an eagle that stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, that spreads its wings to catch them and carries them on its
pinions.
2. Be Cooperative in Mutual Hard Work
Proverbs 31:13-18, 27 She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. 14She is like the merchant
ships, bringing her food from afar. 15She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls. 16She considers a
field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. 17She sets about her work vigorously; her
arms are strong for her tasks. 18She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out
at night… 27 …She does not eat the bread of idleness
Every Woman is Precious…
3. Be Consecrated in the Relationship with Fidelity
Job 39:27-29 27 Does the eagle soar at your command and build his nest on high? 28 He
dwells on a cliff and stays there at night; a rocky crag is his stronghold. 29 From there he seeks out
his food; his eyes detect it from afar.
3. Be Consecrated in the Relationship with Fidelity
Proverbs 31:23-28 Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land. 24She makes linen garments and sells them,
and supplies the merchants with sashes. 25She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at
the days to come. 26She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. 27She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat
the bread of idleness. 28Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
4. Be Cultivating a life of Reverence for God
Proverbs 30:18-19 18 "There are…things that are too amazing for me… 19 the way of an eagle in
the sky…”
4. Be Cultivating a life of Reverence for God
Proverbs 31:29-31 "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." 30Charm is
deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. 31Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works
bring her praise at the city gate.
4. Be Cultivating a life of Reverence for God
Proverbs 9:10 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the
Holy One is understanding.
HOPE in the LORD…Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow
weary, they will walk and not be faint.
