OJT Aims

• To enable the student to feel the working environment and get acquainted with the organizational culture, business operations and administrative functions.

• To enable the student to grasp the basic concepts and gain experience related to their specialization in order to enhance their academic knowledge.

Who is involved ?

1- OJT Department

2- Business Department

- OJT Coordinator

- College Assessor

3- Training place (Industrial Environment)

- Industrial Supervisor

4- OJT Trainees

Training policy / Work map

• A Training schedule for each student/s shall be prepared by the assigned college assessor with the assistance of the industrial supervisor before the start of the OJT Program

• The training schedule will be designed for 8 weeks and will cover all the goals, objectives and outcomes for each level

Training policy / Work map

• The trainee will work outside the college in private or public sector organizations (full time) 8 hours per day.

• The trainee has to complete 300 hours of OJT in a period of 8 -12 weeksMaximum of 8 hrs X 5 days = 40 - - - 300/40 = 8 weeks Minimum of 6 hrs X 5 days = 30 - - - 300/30 = 10 weeks

• After the completion of OJT he/she has to complete EPT in a period of 6-12 weeks

Training policy / Work map

• Each trainee will be visited by the college assessor at least once a week to assess and monitor his progress. (Max 4 Visits)

• Both training supervisor and college assessor will participate in evaluating the trainees.
