Kegon Waterfall, with an impressive drop of 97 meters, is the most famous fall among the many in Nikko. Known as Japan’s three greatest falls, Kegon is surrounded by scenery that will leave you in awe. Chuzenji Temple and Tachiki Kannon StatueChuzenji is a famous power spot affiliated with Rinnoji, one of Nikko’s most important temples. The standing statue of Kannon, which is called Tachiki Kannon in Japanese, is enshrined in the main hall. It is said that the founder of Chuzenji carved the statue out of a tree which is still rooted into the ground today.
