The home affordable refinance program is designed to reduce monthly mortgage payments for homeowners who are current on their payments, but underwater on their home. Eligible loans must be a Fannie Mae-backed loan and the payments must be current with no more than one 30-day late payment in the last year. HARP 2.0 provides members with an opportunity to remain in their homes while offering relief on their monthly payments. Since April 2012, One Nevada has closed over 630 HARP 2.0 loans, saving members an average of $300-$400 per month on their payments.
