The purpose o f any fra te rn ity m ust be to prom ote bro therhood by working , learn ing and liv ing together. Since the local Sigma Chi chap ter gained its charte r in 1906, it has been proving its w orth to the com ­m u n ity and campus.

The house was ins trum en ta l in in s titu tin g the D ick Stokes Fund, a p ro ject to raise money to a id a l it t le dea f ch ild . It also sponsors a Boy Scout Troop, and a p a rty where the Sigma C h i's get to know the people around the neighborhood better.

On campus, three C entra l Board delegates are Sigma Chi's. The house took f irs t in in te r fra te rn ity foo tba ll and sw im m ing, and second in sk iing.

houses near Cam pbell park. These were b u ilt to provide liv ing quarters fo r the fam ilie s o f W o rld W a r II veterans.

The X 's (C raighead & Sisson A partm ents) are the new fa m ily dorms next to M o u n t Jumbo. The modern a rch itec tu re and spacious quarters are much h igher on the ladder o f good liv ing .
