• Signed Presidents’ Climate Commitment in 2008– Pledge to achieve climate neutral operations and submit a
Climate Action Plan (CAP) for doing so• President’s Council on Sustainability (PCS)
– Charged to oversee the development of a plan to meet Climate Commitment and leverage sustainability opportunities
• Hired 2 consulting teams to help create a broad sustainability plan, complete an in depth review of energy options, and draft the CAP– PCS as executive sponsors
• Planning efforts began September 2009– Slightly behind Framework/Sasaki
• Advisory Group to PCS to collaborated with consultants– Faculty, staff, and students across university units
