One Transport supports the core processes of an LA’s transport team, enabling users to manage online parental applications, run assessments, create tickets, make payments and run budget forecasts. The most-used

processes can also be completed on a case-by-case, or bulk basis.

Parents and carers can apply online for transport services via the self-service portal and upload supporting evidence including photographs, your transport teams can easily manage and respond to these applications.

The flexible solution allows customisation of the portal to meet local requirements. LA’s can edit or set-up additional questions to ensure that the needs of those applying are fully understood.

The One Transport solution is designed to help teams streamline administration of transport arrangements, including vehicle bookings, by drawing on the data already held in One and providing quick, easy access to information on children, schools, establishments, drivers and escorts. One Transport solutions can help to:

Reduce administrative tasks enabling LA’s assessing child eligibility individually or in bulk

Easily match information supplied via the portal to data already held in the Capita One database i.e., data from SEND, Admissions & Transfers, Early Years, Grants & Benefits, Transport, and

Training Manager

Efficiently use any route network you wish from the standard default i.e., unsafe roads routes, driving routes, something other than the norm

Simplify application verifying processes for transport officers, including file-upload functionality i.e., digital photographs and any

additional identification or supporting evidence that is required

Edit or create any additional questions enabling system administrators at LA’s to locally configure the parent portal.

Transport Citizen Portal

Parents and carers can apply online for Transport services via the self-service portal, making this information immediately accessible to LA’s. Once the applications have been approved these can then be processed in bulk, including sending automatic communications out via the portal to eligible parents. The One Transport Citizen Portal can help to:

Geographic Information Systems One GIS route planning ensures you’re choosing the most efficient, shortest journey times, and helps you reduce congestion by making use of all the school gates available. It includes quick calculation from home-to-school distances via roads and footpaths, teams can link pupil address information in One with this visually represented on maps. Colour coding allows staff to see at a glance whether a school transport route has extra capacity.

One Route and Vehicle AllocationOptimise routes to school and available vehicles for students with statutory entitlement to home-to-school transport. One Route and Vehicle Allocation (RAVA) shares common data with One Transport, including preferred route scenarios, geo-coded stops and passengers, allowing for bulk updates and freeing your transport team to focus on contract and tender management, the provision of tickets and passes and other ongoing transport processes.

One SEN Vehicle Management Complementing One Transport SEN is One SEN Vehicle Management which supports local authorities in maximising the use of vehicles and routes to school for students with special transport needs. Using data from One Transport, SEN Vehicle Management makes it easy to manage complex transport arrangements and costs, allowing transport teams to spend less time planning and administering contracts and more time monitoring their quality.

One Transport ensures that eligible children who comply with the statutory guidance “Home-to-school Travel and Transport 2014” have access to free school transport (from home to school) when at compulsory school age (5-16).

Optimise routes to school and available vehicles for students with statutory entitlement to home-to-school transport. One Transport enables teams to capture supporting evidence including photographs, allowing Transport teams to instantly print bus tickets.

SEN & Adults Social Care

One Transport can support the provision of transport services for children young people and adults with special travel needs, allocating and providing specialist transport services to ensure children with special educational needs can travel to school safely and comfortably, in a way which meets their individual requirements, as well as supporting the allocation of specialist transport arrangements for adults who are being cared for by your adult social care services.
