1 Accessing Claims View

When viewing an individual patient record in the OneHealthPort Clinical Portal there may be a history of problems, procedures, medications and dental procedures based on claims provided by the Sponsor. The Claims View button opens a new set of screens for that patient that display information derived from claims. This view may be helpful if there is minimal clinical history available on the patient in the Clinical Data Repository. The Claims View only includes clinical information. It does not include payment or billing detail.

To access the Claims View:

a) Use simple or advanced search in the Clinical Portal to locate the medical record of the patient and open the summary view.

b) Click on the Claims View button on the summary screen of the patient record you are viewing to open the Claims

View application. It is located in the lower right corner of the demographics section next to the “Print” button.

2 Using Claim Information in Claims View

The data in the Claims View is grouped into four sections: Problems, Procedures, Dental Claims and Pharmacy Claims. Each section contains drill-down capabilities to view detailed information. This data is in a separate application but linked at the patient level. The Claims View initial opening screen looks like this:

All sections and columns within sections can be moved around by the user for optimal layout using standard “drag and drop” functionality. To drag and drop a section to a new location, hold the cursor over the header of the section until a white four-headed arrow appears. Left click and hold the left mouse button down while dragging the section to the new location. Release the button to “drop” the section in the new location.
