• To assess the application of FP (Foundation Program- Generic courses) knowledge in multiple areas so that students can relate to their learning’s
• To assess the understandings of Industry Context / Business Application / Real Life case scenario so that students can be better-prepared when they join Industry
• To save the operational cost associated with Online Assessment

• Moodle is an Open Source Course Management System (CMS with Virtual
Learning Environment (VLE) and provides Online Assessment Features
• To standardize FP assessment process across partner colleges
Brief Overview of the Initiative1. Online Mode of Assessment with the help of freeware software like
Moodle
2. Installation of Moodle software and Testing by partner college
3. Test, Proctoring and Assessment administration by partner college
4. Infosys to share assessment framework and report formats for each stake holder
5. Standardization of assessment process with Industry graded questions
6. Co-creation of assessment database and question bank review by

Using Moodle
• System Requirements– 256 MB RAM (minimum), 512 MB RAM (recommended)– 160 MB free Fixed Disk (minimum)
• Windows Install Package includes Apache, MySQL and PHP• Download Moodle for Windows

Start up for Installation
• Download latest version of Moodle from Moodle for Windowsand unpack .zip at suitable subfolder
• Run ‘Start moodle’ for the first time to initiate set up process.
