Be responsible for your actions and the actions of all your teammates

Understand all the relevant intramural policies and rules as found in the Intramural Handbook.

To communicate all these policies and rules to your teammates

Inform any ejected players that they need to leave the facility and how they will be reinstated

All registered students are eligible to playUndergraduate, graduate and law students

Players may only play on one 1 team per semester One team in each sport in each division (1 open and 1 co-rec)

Club Sport Rules: Only three club sport players may be on a single team roster

Ex-Varsity Athletes: must sit out a year and a team can only have one on a team

All roster additions must be done online by 5:00pm the day of the gameFor weekend games, players must be added by 5:00pm FridayOnline form is at www.campusrec.neu.edu/intramurals/rosterAdd.php

Drop players online using the player removal formYou may not drop a player who has already played on your team

Online rosters: Found at www.campusrec.neu.edu/intramurals/rosterAdd.phpList indicates the players on the team and players not eligible for play

Only the captain may clarify calls with the officials If the team has questions or issues, they need to direct them through the Captain to the officials Captain may question rule interpretations but not judgment calls

Players who are not the Captain who argue or question the officials will receive an unsportsmanlike penalty

Can be found online in the Manager’s Information section of the website

Manager must know all relevant policies and communicate them to their team

Especially important are the policies regarding sportsmanship and ejections

Note that 3 unsportsmanlike penalties will end a contest in forfeitFighting/taunting or specific violations of the code of conduct will result in a forfeit

Jewelry PolicyM

Jewelry is not allowed to be worn by any intramural sports participants

If a player is found to be wearing jewelry during a game they will be assessed an unsportsmanlike penalty

Exceptions: religious and medical items Must be approved by the Director of Spiritual Life and the Intramural Director at least 5 days prior to the scheduled contest.

Regular season games will not be rescheduled

Losing By Default: If a team can not play and contacts the intramural department to indicate this, they will loose by defaultTeam will not lose the forfeit bondMust be made 24 hours in advance via email

Playoffs:Usually the top two teams of each league will advance to the playoffsIf two teams are tied in the standings the following will be used to determine who will advance:

SportsmanshipForfeited gamesHead to head recordPoint differentialIf there is still a tie, a coin toss will determine the winner

All teams must pay a $20 forfeit bond

Teams will lose $10 for every forfeit

2 team forfeits will result in the team being removed from the league and total loss of the forfeit bond

Unused bonds will be refunded 2-3 weeks after the conclusion of the season

Game time is forfeit timeIt is recommended that teams show up 15 minutes before game time to avoid a forfeit

3 unsportsmanlike penalties will result in the termination of the game

Ejected players must leave the facility within five minutes or their team will forfeit

Players who have been ejected must meet with the Intramural Director or an appointed official before they may participate in further intramural competitions
