ONLINE SAFETY
Do you Google? • Google saves everyone’s information available
online.• Google memorizes ‘you’:Your pictures, your comments, your posts, etc.• Whatever is connected to your name can be
googled by anyone. It could be a job interviewer, a hacker, an ex, a relative,…
Do you still Google (that much)?
Online Privacy is a sensitive area.
Let’s talk about yours ;)
And let’s call it online safety.
Online safety tips:• Google your name. Both web text and images. Google also your email address. This way you’ll know what others can see about you.• Delete.Do you regret having posted a stupid comment, an embarrassing photo? Well, delete it.But remember that some social networks still keep the deleted posts
saved.
• Check your social network settings on a regular basis.
• Contact the webmaster. If your name is on a certain webpage and you want it removed, contact the webmaster and explain why you want it removed.• Be positive. As with life in general, be positive about yourself and show it around. That is what others will see.• THINK before you post – will you regret it?...• Choose a safe password.
