Only Revolutions Digipak Analysis Only Revolutions is the fifth studio album by the Scottish rock band ‘Biffy Clyro’. The album artwork shows a man and a woman facing each other In the middle of a field, both have a different colour flag. At first glance it looks like they are holding the flags but after a good look we see that these big sheets are actually tied around their mouths and it also looks like their hands are tied behind their backs. The two colours represent the different sexes and the revolution is symbolised by these two people. The artist who made this cover was also the creator of Pink Floyd’s album artwork for the album ‘High Hopes’, by looking at this artwork we can see that the use of a big flag is in play as well as this album. Which is where Biffy Clyro probably got their inspiration. I think that the choice of songs for this album is clever as they fit with the cover. For example the first song is ‘The Captain’ which starts with the sound of footsteps. This concept has connotations of war, as do other songs such as ‘Born on a Horse ‘ and ‘Booooom, Blast & Ruin’. As you can see from the photo above, the inside cover includes pictures of the different colour flags on each side of the fold out. This again reinforces the revolution of the two sexes. Then there is also a repeat of the front cover image inside.

Only Revolutions Digipak Analysis Only Revolutions is the fifth studio album by the Scottish rock band ‘Biffy Clyro’ .

The back of the CD as we can see above, includes all of the track numbers and their names, so that the listener can look at the back of the album if they want to listen to a certain track. The back also includes part of the field where the front artwork has been taken.
