Upon successful completion of the program, a NYS evaluator will test each trainee on clinical skills and a written test is required. Notification of the written test results is sent to the trainee in the mail from NYS. While awaiting the state test results, the trainee is able to work with a mentor on their assigned unit. This mentorship program pairs you up with an experienced CNA to make a smooth transition from "trainee" to CNA. Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English is required.
