How it Works
The Host College:
• Owns the curriculum and delivers the course for the
province
• Hires and manages the online faculty
• Provides course information sheets with details about the
courses they offer to all consortium members along with
their course outlines
• Provides grades upon completion of courses
The Registering College:
• Select courses from the OntarioLearn Course Inventory
to offer at their college
• Advertise the courses
• Register students, collect fees, process grades
• Order and sell required textbooks
• Invigilate final exams
• Pay share of the instructor fee to Host College
• Pay Technical Service Provider

Each college markets their own programs.

• 1,191 courses available• 292 courses under development• No duplicates allowed• College has one year to develop and deliver course

QualityOntarioLearn has minimum standards that each course must meet, administers online student surveys every semester, and has a quality assurance process and a Quality Assurance Specialist to review all consortium members' courses.
