Letter of Intent I, Audreiannna Williams, owner of Precious Gems Family Child Care Home, LLC is writing this letter of intent in the interest of expanding my child care business to accommodate additional working families with children between the ages of six weeks and twelve years old in the Dacula, Georgia and surrounding Gwinnett County area.

Mission Statement

Precious Gems Family Child Care Home's mission is to provide quality child care and after school enrichment program to working families with children ranging between the ages of six weeks to twelve years old in the Dacula, Georgia and surrounding Gwinnett County area. Our focus is to provide an educational experience, promoting a child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development all while being a safe environment.

Committed to the families we serve, by creating an educational environment within the home, which fosters opportunities for each child to learn according to his/her age group. Daily curriculum is created to enhance and challenge each child's distinctive needs, interests, and abilities. Creative activities, interactive play and providing well-balanced meals are some ways Precious Gems encourages a healthy and well-rounded child.

In addition to the child care home's stimulating learning environment, Precious Gems is staffed with trained, well-qualified, and attentive child care Professionals whom provide personal attention, guidance, and nurturing to each child.

To accomplish the above goals, Precious Gems is dedicated to the following guiding principles:

Child Care Services: • To provide safe and dependable child care services to working families. • To prepare each child with school readiness knowledge to succeed m

kindergarten. • To provide a curriculum which enables each child to develop new skills at his/her

own ability and pace. • To provide a variety of activities, which includes interactive play, dramatic play,

arts and crafts, science, reading, math, and creative movement/dance in an encouraging and supportive environment.

• To provide opportunities for parental involvement and developmental skills. • To prepare each child with the love of lifelong learning, which can best be

accomplished in a small, individualized setting. • To support each child in learning healthy, safe, and nutritional practices he/she

will carry throughout life.

In the growing culture of two working parents household, the need for quality child care and after school programs for children ages six weeks to twelve years old is growing at a rapid pace. All parents want only the best for their child(ren), especially when it comes to child care. Since it is now being acknowledged that the first five years of a child's life are the most important years during development for a child's mind and body, parents of young children are discovering that a family home daycare can provide the individualized attention that children need to grow, learn and develop. Likewise, after school programs for school-aged students is said to create a safe and stimulating place for students once the student has left school and provide additional opportunity for growth and quality learning.
