Chapter 1 How to Use the Command Line

1.1 Software and hardware environment

Operation environment of hardware: OPCOM3107 platform

PC serial interface

Operation environment of software: WIN98/WIN2000/WINDOWS XP

1.2 Command line modes

Mode Mode description Access Prompts

Common EXEC mode

Configure the basic information and show the parameters etc. at

terminal device.

Login the device and input the user name and password. OPCOM3107>

Privileged EXEC mode

Configure the basic information such as system time, displaying parameters, ect. Running information of

OPCOM3107 can not be configured in this mode.

Use enable command in common EXECmode. OPCOM3107#

Global configuration

Configure all running parameters of OPCOM3107.

Use config command in Privileged EXEC mode. OPCOM3107 (config )#

Interface configuration

Configure parameters of Ethernet NM (Network

Management) interface, ETH interfaces and SDH interface.

Input interface [eth/eos/stm-1/e1

/switch/snmp/dcc] in Global configuration mode.

OPCOM3107 (config-xxx/n)#xxx: interface index.

1.3 Command line format annotation

1. The command is ended at key word of the first parameter.

2. All optional parameters should be bracketed into a “[]”, regardless of how many parameters there are. Parameters should be separated by “|”.

3. In the case of any choices of required parameters or command keywords, all parameters and command keywords should be bracketed into a “()”. Parameters and command keywords should be separated by “|”.

Configure device crossconnect, no command is used to delete crossconnect.

sdh crossconnect (vc12|vc3) source-port <1-2> timeslot {1-63} destination-port <1-2> timeslot {1-63}

no sdh crossconnect (vc12|vc3) source-port <1-2> timeslot {1-63} destination-port <1-2> timeslot {1-63}

[Parameter]

(vc12|vc3) : select crossconnect type; vc12: VC12-level crossconnect; vc3: VC3-level cross-connect.

<1-2>: sdh port index.

<1-63> : sdh timeslot.

TSSTRING : timeslot string to configure, use “,” to separate single timeslots; use “-” to indicate interzone, for example 1, 3-5 means timeslot 1, 3, 4, 5.
