1. These shows are sanctioned by the American Dairy Goat Association, and their rules shall govern. Only ADGA, AGS and CGS registered, recorded or applied for animals may be shown in an official ADGA show.

2. The Junior and Senior Shows are separately sanctioned. 3. These shows are sanctioned by ADGA for the following breeds:

Alpine, LaMancha, Nigerian Dwarf, Nubian, Saanen, Toggenburg, Recorded Grade, AOP (Oberhasli and Sable). Group classes will follow breed classes (Saturday show only).

4. The original registration or recordation's certificate is required for all animals six months of age or older. The original registration, recordation certificate or duplicate application stamped by the registry office is required for all animals under six months of age. (Stamped duplicate applications are good for 30 days.) These must be shown to the show secretary prior to the start of the show. No copies of the registration, recordation certificate or stamped duplicate applications, telegrams or phone calls will be accepted in lieu of the original documents.

5. Proof of ownership shall be the ADGA ID# on the registration or recordation certificate or on the stamped duplicate application. Persons showing animals, whose registration/recordation certificates have signed transfers that have not been processed by the ADGA office, must show those animals as agent for the owner shown on ADGA records. All names listed under one ID number constitute only one membership and only on exhibitor.

6. The base date for determining the age of the animal is the opening day of the fair, August 24, 2021.

7. Animals with full natural horns (not disbudded or dehorned) may not be shown in an official ADGA show.

8. To ensure the show runs efficiently, show order is subject to change.

9. Animals entered in this Sanctioned Show will be required to show both days. Failure to show both days may result in loss of premiums and points.

Central Wisconsin State Fair DRAFT HORSE SHOW

Entry Deadline: August 1 Judging: Saturday 10 am – Halter and Hitch Classes Sunday 10 am – Halter and Hitch Classes Exhibits Dismissed: Sunday at 5:00 pm

Do not place any garbage in manure. No more than two prizes shall be awarded to any exhibitor under any one lot number. In the event of three or less entries in a lot number, the superintendents reserve the right to combine that lot with another lot number and for those two lots to be judged as one.

All stalls must be cleaned with gates closed before departure. Violation will result in privileges and premiums taken away from the exhibitors for that year and one additional year. No child under the age of 8 will be permitted on a cart, wagon, or in the show arena. Age is determined as of January 1.

Remember to include your premise id number on your entry form.

All animals must be entered and exhibited in the owner’s name.

All exhibitors are required to wear back tags when entering the show arena. Mares and stallions must be registered purebreds. Registrations and/or transfers (other than current year’s foals) must be on the respective breed association records before start of our show. !NEGATIVE COGGINS TEST: All horses shall be required to have a report of negative Coggins test for equine infectious anemia conducted within the current calendar year at a state or federally approved laboratory. Exhibitors shall present the original and a copy (copy to be collected and maintained as part of permanent fair records) of the test results at fair check-in. No Exceptions. See Health Rules. Coggins papers will be turned into the superintendent’s office upon entrance into the fairgrounds. When making entries, each exhibitor must purchase an exhibitor’s ticket and pay stall rent when making entries.

(REMEMBER: All horses have a birthday on January 1! Example: A foal born on December 1 is considered as a yearling or 1-year-old on January 1.)

Rules: • All cats are required to be inoculated for feline distemper

at about 10 weeks of age. • Cats should not originate from an area under quarantine

for rabies. Each cat is required to have rabies vaccination at about 4 months of age and then annually.

• OFFICIAL VETERINARIAN VERIFIED RECORDS OF BOTH SHOTS MUST BE BROUGHT TO THE SHOW.

• Any one exhibitor may bring no more than two cats to the fair. They must be entered in different Lot numbers. Do not bring cats with their kittens.

Character Study: Photograph captures distinctive features of a person so that when you look at the photo you see into the depth of the qualities that make him or her unique and/or extremely interesting. Magnifying the distinctive characteristics is important in a character study. Portraits, glamour shots, snap shots, and good close-ups of people are not character studies, unless they show effort to study and capture a unique quality of the subject. Still Life: Photo of inanimate objects (such as fruit, flowers, collectibles, etc.) arranged in an artistic, creative, or interesting manner. Human Interest: Photo that draws out an emotional response or raises curiosity and impacts the viewer.

Each entry must be the work of the individual entering the products. Obvious entries of a product from the same “batch” will result in disqualification. (e.g. One loaf of bread cut in half and entered as two separate entries is not acceptable.) Baked goods will all be displayed until the close of the fair. Ribbons can be picked up at that time. An Over All Best of Show and Honorable Mention ribbon will be awarded in classes 1-5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10-11, and 12-13. (No Premium)

FOOD PRESERVATION All foods should be processed according to method and times listed in the most current University of Wisconsin food publications: http://www.foodsafety.wisc.edu/preservation.html

Canned items to be exhibited in official, standard and colorless pint or quart jars with self-sealing lids. Metal screw rings are to be removed from all jars prior to entry at the fair by exhibitor. Be sure lids are sealed. All canning should be within a year of fair showing. Jars judged without opening.

Jams and jellies must be exhibited in standard 1/2 pint jars. Freezer or uncanned jams and jellies and refrigerator pickles will be disqualified.

Dried foods may be exhibited in small glass containers or Ziploc bags.

No gingham covers or food coloring.

Prior to the fair, each exhibitor will receive a food preservation details tag (sample below). All canning or dehydrated item must have the official food preservation detailed tag attached to back of fair entry tag which must be attached to each canning jar or dehydrated item. 3. Judging will begin at noon, Saturday, August 24. Judges will be asked to give reasons for their decision on the quality of the wine. Wines will be judged on a 20 point system. Some of the criteria will be: clarity, color, aroma, bouquet, body, flavor and balance. Judges may enter wine but cannot judge in that class. Judges’ decisions to be final.

4. Ribbons will be awarded in each class (if scored high enough). 5. Best of Show, 1st Runner-up, and 2nd Runner-up will be awarded for BOTH Scratch & Kit wines. Ribbons not picked up at judging will be
