Slide 33 Sd f Contribute to Your HSA For 2013, the maximum tax-free contributions the IRS allows you to make to your HSA are: Single-coverage: $3,300 Family-coverage: $6,550 Catch-up contribution, age 55 or older: $1,000 The $500 City contribution counts toward these maximums. Increase, decrease, or stop your contributions using eCHRIS Self-Service. Slide 34 Important Points to Know The full cost for prescriptions counts toward the deductible. When the deductible is fulfilled, pharmacy is co-pay based Family coverage: The medical and pharmacy expenses incurred by everyone enrolled go toward the deductible (at contracted rates) until $3,000 is reached. Slide 40 Flexrap with a Health Savings Account The IRS does not allow you to use Flexrap for medical or pharmacy expenses while you are enrolled in an HSA. You can use Flexrap on a Limited Purpose basis for dental and vision expenses only.
