Educat ion Program Attention all Heinen?s shoppers! If you shop at Heinen?s you can help Rocky River Middle School while you do your grocery shopping. Heinen?s created their Teaming Up for Education program to help local community schools raise money. Participants must re-select their school every year and have a Tasteful Rewards Preferred Card. Open House/Ear ly Dism issalAll students will be dismissed early on Thursday, September 1st at 2:45 p.m due to the seventh/eighth grade parent open house. The parent open house will be from 7:00-9:00 p.m. We hope to see you here!
Sunr ise/SunsetStarts next week on Tuesday, September 6th. Sunrise and Sunset are designed to be a quiet place for students to complete homework before or after school. High school tutors will be available during sunset to help students as needed.

The Rocky River Middle School Parent Teachers Association (PTA) enriches the lives of our children by collaborating with teachers, providing social opportunities for the students and supporting the staff throughout the year. All parents are welcome and encouraged to join and support the students, staff, and teachers at the Middle School. Please consider how you can become involved in the variety of activities sponsored by our PTA. Your PTA organizes, funds, and sponsors Teacher Grants, Assemblies, Field Trips, Challenge Days, 6th grade social dance, 7th grade manners dinner, 8th grade graduation dance, Bike to School Challenge, Maroon & White Night and more!

Gam e Day Kickof f Event
Our first middle school student event of the year will be a Game Day Kickoff Event on Friday, September 9th from 5:00-6:30 p.m. behind Rocky River Middle School. Join us for food, games and fun - along with ?school spirit? including the Marching Band and cheerleaders. Tickets for the Game Day Kickoff Event will be on-sale in the RRMS lobby each morning before school until the pre-game event. Details can be found here. This week we welcome Luke Reid who will be completing his student teaching with Mr. Harris. Mr. Reid is a Bay Village High School graduate and is completing his degree at Kent State University. Mr. Reid feels privileged to work with the students of Rocky River Middle School. He is confident he will have a positive impact on our fitness education students.
The Seventh Grade Explorers team created a "What Makes Your Happy?" wall in their hallway.
Counselor Corner
The school year is off to a great start! This week, counselors are conducting a check-in with all students new to the RRMS community. We also look forward to meeting with all students grades 6-8 in small groups throughout the month of September. These meetings will take place in the Counseling Office and through the College and Career Readiness classes. opportunity for parents and students to gather more information about college: the admissions
