INTEGRATION

Nanodems Integration Server (NDIS) enables integrated management of different hardware/software systems including CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarms, Digital I/O devices, Video Analytics and so on.

Nanodems Integration Server is realized as a windows service. Consequently, it does not need a running desktop and starts automatically as soon as operating system initialization is completed. After first time configuration, operators do not need to make any other manual interventions. All of the tasks are automated; network problems and other abnormal situations are handled. Application reestablishes connections to integrated systems as soon as network problems are eliminated.

What is NDIS?

NDIS is a centralized, multiuser, multisite, integrated physical security management software which brings many different defense and security hardware, including electronic access control systems, video management systems perimeter intrusion detection systems, digital input/output devices altogether in one common interface.

Hardware Independency

NDIS is integrated with much popular security hardware. Being proved its stability, scalability and reliability over the years with real world projects, you can rely on the seamless integrations NDIS provides. You can use hardware from different vendors and security operators can still monitor/control them with same intuitive interface. This not only provides hardware independency but also reduces the time and cost for training the security staff for new systems.

Server/Client Architecture

NDIS has server/client architecture on which server acting as the central point of arbitration for whole system. System can be monitored/controlled over network via encrypted communication over TCP/IP. This enables access to system resources from any place on the LAN in a secure way. All communication is over IP which enables central monitoring and control of sites all over the world without any distance restriction.

Advanced User and Device Management

NDIS enables configuration of each users’ authorizations with different right profiles. Creating unlimited user groups is supported (Such as Guards, Technical Operators, Maintenance Team, Managers, and Supervisors etc.) Either user groups or individually each user can have a specific right profile which defines what a user can see and control. Moreover, a physical computer can have a right profile as well which means operators accessing the system from a specific place are only authorized to view/control preconfigured devices and maps for that computer.

System managers can design freely layout of operators’ user interfaces with easy to use drag and drop layout editor. So, they can decide which user can see which modules (Alarm monitor, CCTV monitor, Maps etc.) in which size and in which part of the monitor. Also, users’ details, current states and login failures information can be monitored in real time. Any user can be forced to log off by managers remotely. Also blocking/unblocking of users is possible.

Moreover, embedded intercommunication application enables easy written communication between users. NDIS provides prioritization of resources, to allow supervisors to take control of cameras, alarm devices and physical security equipment etc. if such a need arises.

NDIS provide many levels of hierarchical control priority for control arbitration between operators. This control inhibits control requests from lower priority sources. Operators of an equal or lower priority accessing a camera or other security device already under control or locked is notified that the device is under control/locked and by which operator. The operator shall then be presented with the option to request control of that device. The controlling operator may optionally grant or reject the request. This priority system control arbitration with timely feedback to the operators.

With its innovative cross integration concept, it is possible to connect two or more different systems to each other seamlessly. Any new hardware integrated to NDIS automatically integrated to all previously integrated devices as well. This new generation driver architecture enables new systems’ integration into the NDIS very easily without any hassle. There is NO need for reinstallation when new hardware supports are added.

NDIS can communicate with many different defense and security system. Electronic access control systems (such as General Electric Secure Perfect, Facility Commander Wnx, Maxxes and Lenel OnGuard), video management systems (such as Geutebrück, Dedicated Micros, GE Security) perimeter intrusion detection systems (CIAS, FiberSenSYS, FFT Cams), digital input/output devices (any device supporting Modbus TCP protocol) etc. Please contact us for actual list of integrations available.

It is also possible to implement time based logic operators (such as AND, OR, NOT, XOR) on all collected inputs from the field. This not only decreases rate of false alarms, but also enables server to take predefined actions automatically without need to wait for operator to make it. In case of a predefined scenario, NDIS can take automated actions. This enables your organization to manage security operations with less manpower.

GIS Maps

NDIS provides GIS based maps for monitoring the devices. Security cameras, perimeter intrusion detection devices, fire sensors or any other device/sensor can be visualized on maps. Maps can be either indoor or outdoor. GIS map module also can process real time radar or sonar head feeds to visualize detected objects on map.

Audit Logs and Reporting

NDIS maintains full, real-time log of all system activity, to provide a complete audit trail of all operator interaction.

NDIS enables advanced logging of all user/operator activity, alarms, events, security device activities, incidents, faults and many more. All information is stored on a central database. It is possible for operators to assemble evidential-quality “incident case reports” which shows all actions taken and all security devices associated with that incident. Reports can be also generated for specific date/time, for user sessions, for operators, for devices or for zones. These logs can be exported into the commonly known file formats (such as xls, html, doc, csv etc.) for further analysis of relevant authorities.

NDIS also keeps records of exported reports. This enables to check at any time if an exported report is original or not. This prevents exported reports being changed during transfer from site to authorities such as police department. It is also possible to password protect exported reports.

Redundancy

NDIS has automatic failover capability. You can run an additional NDIS on different location in redundant mode, and in case of any failure (due to power outage, disasters) secondary NDIS takes over all responsibilities of main server within several seconds automatically.
