The Instruments and Systems Integration group of the Solar EnergyInstitute (https://www.ies.upm.es/Investigacion/IES_GI/ISI) is looking for ahighly motivated research engineer to work in a multi-disciplinary project,funded by the European Commission within the H2020 program, incollaboration with other European research centers as well as theindustry. The project aims at the industrial scale demonstration of highefficiency solar modules (>30% under direct sunlight) based on adisruptive planar optical micro-tracking technology, which concentratessunlight on multijunction solar cells, mounted on top of conventionalsilicon cells.

SCOPEThe work will be focused on the design and development of test equipment for the characterization of high efficiency photovoltaic devices. The main objective is to develop a quality control equipment for the next generation of photovoltaic modules with distinct capture of direct and diffuse sunlight.
REQUIREMENTSCandidates must hold an internationally-recognized high-level engineering degree in electronics or a related area.
• Microcontroller / embedded systems programming• PCB design flow (Eagle, Orcad…)• Knowledge of sensors, data acquisition systems and power converters • NI Labview is a plus• Matlab/Python scripting
CONDITIONS AND APPLICATIONThe contract is offered for a period of one year with the possibility for extension up to four years, with full-time dedication.Remuneration according to knowledge and experience provided.
