WHAT IS QGIS? QGIS is a cross-platform free and open source geographic information systems (GIS) application offering data viewing, editing, and analysis tools. The software is composed of several core functions and multiple plugins, which are generally user-friendly. Furthermore, QGIS can run on low-spec computers.
