Procedure for opening a business in the UAE free zones

The easiest way to set your company up in UAE free zone is with the assistance of a registered company formation agent. They will submit the documents relevant to incorporation at the Registrar on behalf of you.

So there is no need for you to be present at the time of incorporation.

List of documents to be submitted before the Registrar:

1) Application for license, duly filled

2) Address and contact details of the person

3) Passport copies of the partners and the manager

4) Letter of good standing from the banks of the partners (original)

5) License copy of the existing company, if any

6) Bank reference letter of existing company, if any (original)

List of additional documents to be submitted before the Registrar:

For industrial license 

1)Business plan / feasibility study report

2)Existing company profile, if any 

3)Duly filled 'Investor Project Profile' form  

For Consultancy license 

1)Proof of academic qualification pertaining to the desired field of activity ( for at least one partner)

2)Experience certificate pertaining to the desired field of activity

Note : At least one of the above has to be submitted for obtaining the

license. 

For Branch of Companies 

1) Attested copy of license / certificate of registration / certificate of incorporation

2)Attested copy of Memorandum & Articles of association  

3)Original Board Resolution statingthe establishment of the branch and the appointment of a manager or legal representative. It must also guarantee complete financial commitment.

For Branch of companies 

4)Original Power of Attorney of the manager or legal representative as stated in Board Resolution

5)Passport copy of manager or legal representative

6)Bank statement of parent company for last three months
