Operation Christmas Child Charlotte Trip - We are planning for this year’s trip to volunteer at the Operation Christmas Child shoebox processing center in Charlotte, NC. This is one of several regional facilities where the Christmas shoeboxes are collected, inspected and prepared for shipment overseas. The tentative plan is to leave at 7:30am Thursday, Dec. 5 and arrive in time for the 3:00-7:00 shift. On Friday we’ll work 9:00-1:00. The afternoon/evening plans will depend on what the group decides; one option might be a visit to the Billy Graham Library. We’ll return to EBC Saturday afternoon Dec. 7; the time would depend on if we want to work Saturday morning as well. Costs would be the hotel rooms, meals & transportation. We need to know soon how many people will be in our group so we can reserve enough spaces, as well as work on travel/lodging. All volunteers must be at least 13 years old due to the warehouse environment. If you’re interested or have any questions, contact Brian Brown at [email protected] or 304-494-1895.
