Signal Processing Everywhere

Organisms and devices communicate, naturally or intentionally, through “signals”

Speech, seismic vibrations, cell signaling, camera image, temperature,….A “Receiver” processes the “signal” for quality improvement,

analysis and understanding, activation, storage, transmission, control ...

Filtering, source localization, gene expression, compression, error control coding, feedback.…

Signals and signal processing are ubiquitous, whether or not we recognize them as such, and fundamental to the operations of systems.
