First innings delays

T20 games can have their allotted overs reduced as a result of time delays, for example interrupted by rain, power fail to lights etc. A minimum of five overs per team constitutes a game.

This user’s guide covers three events that can result in overs being reduced in the First innings of a T20 game. One, two or all three of these events may occur in the First innings they are as follows.

1. A time delay before the game starts with no further delays once the game has started.

2. A time delay after the First innings has started with no further delays once the game has recommenced.

3. A time delay after at least five overs are completed and the time delay is significant in duration so the First innings is Abounded.
