Integrated seamlessly into Documentum Webtop, Brava! makes it easy to view and annotate CAD drawings and engineering documentation in virtually any file format, enabling users to collaborate efficiently. Brava! adds critical functionality that helps to streamline project design, management and construction, and makes it possible to share CAD drawings and documents with contractors without compromising security. This proven, enterprise-class software allows effective collaboration with business partners, yet aids in managing risk by keeping sensitive or proprietary information private.

View and Collaborate on Practically Any FileOpenText™ Brava!™ for Documentum Webtop allows users across the organization to effi-ciently view and collaborate on content in virtually any file format, including CAD drawings, PDF files, Microsoft® Office documents, image files and even 3D models with anoptional ActiveX client. There’s no need to purchase multiple software applications to view files. Brava! is fast, offering rapid and accurate searches on words and phrases within and across documents, plus thumbnails that let you jump right to the page you need. You spend less time waiting for files to open, refresh and transition than with comparable viewers.

Add image stamps or use bidirectional, dynamic stamps to pull or push metadata from and to the repository, including drawing status, copyright information and more. Stamps can also include system data like the date, user name and file location.

Brava! has a full markup toolset, including its unique Changemark™ notes. Perfect for large CAD drawings and multi-page files, Changemark notes step reviewers through every comment to ensure that nothing is missed. Markups and stamps are saved in a separate XML file, so the source document remains secure.

Use Checkview to speed repetitive form reviews and ensure that key areas are verified. Mark each area to be checked and provide instructions for reviewers, who are stepped through Checkview areas to approve or reject them.

Work Anywhere, Anytime–Even Offline*Brava! Offline lets users export revisions of documents to be viewed offline with OpenText™ Brava!™ Desktop (version 7.2 or later). Brava! creates a zip file (.BOZ) containing a rendition of the source file with any existing markups and the information required to correctly import any markups made while offline.

Once reconnected to the network, OpenText™ Brava!™ Enterprise automatically uses the information contained in the .BOZ file to update the primary content in the repository with the offline markup file.

Vector-Based Viewing for Sharp Text and GraphicsWith Brava!, you can measure, plot and print true vector data. The vector data in CAD files is not converted to pixels (rasterized), thus maintaining the integrity of the CAD geometry. Vector viewing ensures text is crisp and readable at any zoom level in drawings and in documents.

Brava! helps you make more economical purchase decisions. Use the Takeoff feature to count doors, windows and other features and to aggregate areas for flooring, piping or other materials. You can then export the counts and measurements in a spreadsheet to ensure that supply orders are accurate.

Get an at-a-glance view of modifications that have been made to a drawing or document with Brava!’s Compare tool. To ensure accuracy of the final approved drawing, compare file versions to ensure that all changes have been made.

Protect Proprietary and Sensitive InformationBrava! allows you to publish CAD drawings and other documents to the OpenText secure Content Sealed Format (CSF), as well as to PDF and TIFF for convenient and secure archiving or sharing with contractors. At conversion, you can add watermarks or banners and burn in markups, stamps and Changemark notes. Publishing to CSF adds the ability to expire (time bomb) the document, add password protection and control viewing and printing permissions to ensure that your documents are viewed by the intended recipients and within the specified time frame. In addition, Brava! honors all printing and annotation rights for Documentum User Groups and Roles.

Brava!’s redaction tools allow efficient removal of proprietary information from documents, CAD drawings and images. Remove sensitive information and then finalize the redactions to a new PDF, TIFF or secure CSF file. The original file remains untouched in the repository.

Merge Files to Create New DocumentsWithin a simple graphical interface, drag page thumbnails from multiple files—even in different formats—to create a new document. Rearrange or remove pages as desired, then save the new file as a PDF or TIFF, or in the OpenText secure Content Sealed Format (CSF). Any annotations within the source files can be burned into the new document. Use the same interface to split a document by dragging page thumbnails to create a new file (Note that this feature requires OpenText™ Blazon™ in addition to Brava!).
