a) Newly constructed Railway Line from Bhind to Etawah was inaugurated

by Hon‟ble Chief Minister, Madhya Pradesh Shri Shiv Raj Singh

Chauhan, Hon‟ble Cabinet Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar and

MOSR Shri Manoj Sinha flagging off Passenger Train No.59827/59828 at

Bhind Railway Station on 27.02.2016.This will provide an alternate route

between Gwalior & Etawah.

b) 1.72 km Through Weld Renewal in Bharatpur-Ikran of Agra Fort-

Bandikui section has been done by State of Art Mobile Flash Butt

Welding Plant.

c) CSR of UP Loop Line of Hirangaon station has been increased by 94m (from 646m to 740m) in ALD Division

by shifting UP Home Signal, Cross Over Pt.201 & Pt. 203 Signal (HWH end side).

d) Loopline run through facility has been pvodied at Mitawali, Kanchausi, Saraibhupat and Sasni stations of ALD

Division.

RELIABILITY & SAFETY IMPROVEMENT:

a) 120 m Boundary Wall has been constructed by using unserviceable PSC

sleeper in Agra-Palwal section.

b) Dual detection with SSDAC has been provided between DN IBS Bhandai-Agra Cantt. of AGC Division.

CLEANLINESS/PASSENGER SERVICES/AMENITIES:

a) With ref. to Railway Board‟s Letter No.2015/ENHM/06/12 dated 29.09.2015, National Cleanliness Campaign

under Swachh Bharat Mission is in progress from 28.02.16 to 15.03.2016 over NCR.

COMMERCIAL EARNINGS:

a) 8 Fortress checks have been conducted during the week over NCR. Total number of 3552 Passengers travelling

either without or with irregular tickets/unbooked luggage were detected, and Rs.14.45 lakh were realized as

penalty.

b) 4 Bus Raids have been conducted during this week over NCR. 497 cases were detected, fare realized Rs.2.07

lakh.

c) 3 Rakes of Foodgrains with earning of Rs.1.91 crore have been loaded from ETAH in ALD Division and DAA

in JHS Division.

d) 23 Rakes of POL with earnings of Rs.9.16 crore have been loaded from IOC/BAD in AGC Division.

e) 18 Rakes of Cement with earnings of Rs.3.02 crore have been loaded from N=MJAC in ALD & DCPG in

Jhansi Division.

f) 3 Rakes of Fertilizer with earnings of Rs.0.91 crore have been loaded from MKFP in Allahabad Division.

b) Restoration of Train movement after Jaat Andolan:

Jaat Andolan took place during the week. Track was

damaged & blocked in Division.

Quick restoration of track between MTJ-AWR, AGC-BKI

& MTJ-PWL section ensured by working on war footing

by engineering officials.

c) Nadbai Station, which was badly vandalized during reservation agitation on 23.02.2016 (13:40 hrs.) has been restored in record time of almost 42 hrs. on 25.02.2016 (08:30 hrs.).

(i) 04 Nos. Point Machines replaced. (ii) Wiring and Cable Termination in 08 Nos. location boxes done. (iii) 07 Nos. Track Circuits complete equipments replaced. (iv) Restoration of LC-57 and 58 including complete Relay Room Wiring at LC-58.

d) Dual Fuse Monitoring Alarm System has been provided at Majhirai and Bargarh Stations of JHS Division.

e) Terminal Management System has been commissioned at Dabra Station and V-SAT has been installed for providing connectivity to UTS and PRS terminals at Udi station in Jhansi Division.

f) Early steel girders of 1906 of Br. No. 38 (Niranjan Bridge) replaced by PSC slab for 3 lines (Rambag line, Prayag line & Shunting neck in Allahabad yard.)

g) Loco Control Centre Set up in Diesel Locomotive Shed, Jhansi: Inaugurated the new committee room and Loco Control

Centre on 15th February. The locos fitted with REMMLOT

can be monitored from this centre. Preventive checks can be

done based on the data available to improve the reliability of

locos.

h) Inauguration of 2 x 1500 KVA DG Set at JHS WS: Inaugurated the 2x1500 KVA DG sets on 15.02.2015 2x1500 KVA, 11000 volt DG sets were

installed & commissioned on 26.11.15, procured through COFMOW is equipped with

11000 volt, 3 phase Alternators. DG sets are capable of running on full load & on 10%

overload for 1 hr in 12 hrs operation. Specific Fuel consumption of 0.26/KWH and are very

economical to run. Installation of these DG sets increases the generation capacity 6000

KVA and capable of meeting future load increase for the next 10 years.


a) Work of combined contract of Mechanized Cleaning started at 3 stations i.e BNDA, CKTD & MBA of JHS division from 22.2.2016.

b) Rag Picking Day has been organized in JHS & ALD stations on 19.2.2016 & on 23.2.2016 respectively.

c) Annual Maintenance Contract for 166 UTS Thin Clients has been awarded to M/s HCL services Ltd. for AMC of UTS Thin clients installed at all Division over NCR.

d) Construction of 01 No. FOB at Chheoki station has been completed & inaugurated by Hon'ble MP Shri Shyama Charan Gupta for passengers.

e) Renovation of Canteen in Diesel Locomotive Shed, Jhansi Renovated Staff Canteen was inaugurated on 15th

February. New furniture has been provided. The floor has

been renovated with tiles.

f) MoU has been signed with CRIS and Railway for supply and installation of ATVMs. Advance

30% payment has been made to CRIS for supply of additional 70nos. of ATVMs (total 147 ATVMs) with other related equipment.

INNOVATIONS:

a) Newly developed working model of ‘H-Type Coupler’ & ‘FIAT BOGIE’ at STC/JHS: Inaugurated the newly developed “FIAT Bogie Working Model with WSP Features”, “H-type

Coupler Working Model” & “Newly Erected Trolley-Shed” in the premises of STC/JHS.

b) Inauguration of Portal Wheel Lathe at JHS WS This machine is first among the indigenously developed

Portal Wheel Lathe with proven out productivity of 120

wheel sets per day. This plant will help in keeping the

outturn of the shop at the optimum level and also

keeping the reliability of shop on much higher level. This

machine was proposed in M&P Programme 2012-13,

received at JHSW on 31.12.15 and commissioned

successfully on 16.02.2016.


a) 04 Fortress checks have been conducted during the week over NCR. Total number of 1871 passengers traveling either without or with irregular tickets/un-booked luggage was detected, and Rs. 7.43 Lakh were realized from them.

b) 01 Bus Raids have been conducted during this week over NCR. 99 cases were detected, fare realized Rs. 0.31 lakh.

c) 1 military special has been booked ex MTJ to JNP during this period (on 19.02.16) with an earning Rs.71.55 Lakhs.

d) GWL west side cycle/ scooter parking contract has been awarded on quotation basis on 25.02.16 @ 2.70 Lakhs monthly license fee.

a) Trial for reconditioning of wheel burns and scabbed rail by Robotic Translamatic welding conducted in presence of RDSO Representatives on 16 and 17th Feb‟16 on JHS-CNB section at Mustara Yard main line km 1136/6-8.

b) Two automatic banner flags have been provided by departmental resources at manned level crossing No. 9 & 10 in Agra division.

c) Control room in diesel shed at JHS renovated and same was inaugurated during annual inspection of Workshop on 15 Feb 2016.

d) 118 m Boundary Wall has been constructed by using unserviceable PSC sleeper in Agra-Palwal section.

e) Dual Fuse Monitoring Alarm system with standby fuses has been provided at Bichpuri station of AGC Division, Shankargarh and Lohgara stations of JHS Division.

f) Dual detection with analog axle counter has been provided on girder bridge at Agra Fort station between Jamuna Bridge-Agra Fort section main line of AGC Division.

g) Dual detection has been provided on UP Loop Line at Jhinjak station of ALD Division.

a) Cleanliness drives under “Sardar Patel United Clean India” are being launched.

b) Cleanliness of A-1, A & other category stations and trains are being organized by nominating officers of the divisions. Special drives for littering have been launched in all the divisions.

c) 01 JTBS has been allotted for Belatal (BTX) on 28.10.15.

d) Canteen in diesel shed at JHS recently renovated and same was inaugurated by GM NCR during annual inspection of workshop on 15 Feb 2016.

e) A meeting was conducted with Hon‟ble MPs in jurisdiction of Agra Division on 28.10.15 in AGRA.

f) Kwar Navratri Mela at BDL is being organized from 13.10.15 to 27.10.15 following arrangements made for conducting the mela successfully.

Deployment of additional staff (21 TEs, 10 BCs & 01 ERC) for round the clock manning of station gate, enquiry, May I Help you booth, UTS & PRS counters.

g) Escalator on PF 2/3 at AGC was inaugurated on 28.10.15 by Hon‟ble Minister of state for „Human Resource Development‟ Government of India Shri Ram Shanker Katheria.

c) Total 07 rakes of Food-grains with earning Rs. 2.32 Crore have been loaded from GWL, DAA & MRA in Jhansi Division and HDL in Agra Division.

d) Total 22 rakes of POL with earning Rs. 7.21 Crore have been loaded from IOC/BAD in Agra Division.

e) During the period, total 22 rakes of Cement with earnings Rs. 3.80 crore have been loaded from MJAC in ALD & DCPG in Jhansi division.

f) During this period, total 01 rake of DOC with earning Rs. 0.45 Crore have been loaded from MRA in Jhansi Division.

g) Agra Division has issued allotment letter to the lease holders of 04 SLR comptts., 01 each in train nos. 12178, 13238, 13240, & 59356. Leasing work of 01 leased SLR comptt. has also started by lease holder of train no. 59356 from 28.10.2015 Ex MTJ to RTM.

h) During surprise checks of Asstt. Guard cabin of train no. 13008 on 26.10.15 at AGC, under charges collected Rs. 0.61 Lakh.

i) Over loading of 01 leased SLR comptt. of train no. 12276 Ex. NDLS to ALD was checked on 29.10.2015 & penalty recovered Rs. 0.32 lakh.

j) 01 unauthorized vendor was detected during the period & fine recovered Rs. 2,000/-.

HUMAN RESOURCES, TECHNOLOGY & SKILL DEVELOPMENT:

A seminar on “Distributed Acoustic Sensing System” was conducted under the aegis of

IRSTE, Allahabad Chapter. GM NCR presided over the function. PHODs of other

departments also participated in the seminar. M/s Frauschergave a presentation showing

how existing OFC of Indian Railways can be used for detecting trespassing, thefts, train

movements etc.

It was decided to have one pilot project in CAR-MGS section to detect trespassing and theft

of material by CSC/RPF.

a) 2.040 km Through Weld Renewal in Bharatpur-Ikran of

Agra Fort-Bandikui section has been done by State of

b) Work of extension of CSR in DN Loop at Daud Khan Yard has been completed on 07.02.16.

c) Khurja Electronic Interlocking of 256 routes replacing two Lever Frames of 42 & 72 levers of

vintage 1963 and involving massive Yard Remodeling was commissioned on 14.02.2016 for

improving operational requirement, safety in train operation & passenger amenities at the station.

This EI was commissioned under disconnection memo of only 180” having least repercussion on

traffic in one of the busiest route of Aligarh-Ghaziabad section of Indian Railway.

In yard remodeling which is spread in 4.5 Km, 48 new points inserted, 11 points removed having

total new 73 points. For yard flexibility and to ensure safety in train operation, number of signals

have increased from 33 to 103 and track circuits from 24 to 129. Besides these, following

enhanced operational facilities have been provided:-

1. New PF on Line No. 9 have been commissioned.

2. Existing PF lines 1, 2, 3 & 4 extended.

3. New UP main 3rd

line alongwith removal of permanent speed restriction of 20 kmph.

4. Simultaneous reception and dispatch facilities on DN main as well as common loop line.

5. Dispatch facilities from common loop goods lines to 3rd

line.

6. UP loop line converted into common loop.

7. Extended loop lines in both UP and DN direction for

long haul trains.

II. PASSENGER SERVICES/CLEANLINESS/AMENITIES:

a) Anti littering drive was organized in ALD division. Total 570 cases detected & Rs.

0.57 lakh realized.

b) Renovation of Zonal office of Scout & Guide at Subedarganj has been done.

c) One WGSC2AC coach has been augmented in train No. 12180/79 (AGC-LJN Exp.) w.e.f.

02.02.2016 to 31.03.16 on temporary basis.

III. RELIABILITY & SAFETY IMPROVEMENT:

a) 110 m Boundary Wall has been constructed by using

unserviceable PSC sleeper in Agra-Palwal section.

b) Redundancy in system design of 2 Nos. of track sections have been commissioned at Jasra and

Madraha stations of JHS Division.

c) Area Control Board for close monitoring and planning of trans movement of trains between

Karchana-Saiyad Sarawan section has been commissioned in Control office of ALD Division.

d) A new 26 Coach Length Washing Pit has been commissioned on 15.02.2016 at a cost of Rs.7

Crore (PH-42 DF-3). The work was sanctioned in works programme 2011-12. The pit is as per

standard CAMTEC drawing with provision of proper illumination for under gear examination,

drainage and standard catwalks with commissioning of this pit, coach maintenance capacity at

JHS has gone up.

IV. INNOVATION:

Working Model of FIAT Bogie:

STC/JHS is a pioneer centre which developed a working model of FIAT Bogie used in LHB

coaches. STC/JHS brought a condemned bogie frame of

FIAT Bogie from Jagadhari workshop and got it

assembled with the help of unserviceable fittings & wheel

sets and it is developed as real model of FIAT Bogie.

This FIAT BOGIE is developed as working model by

connecting it with Air compressor, SCTR, Dump Valves,

Sensors, Red-Green Brake-Jam Indicator, Different

relays/Switches, Phonic wheel, Brake Disc, Brake

cylinder, ACP arrangement, Step down transformer &

WSP device with Micro Processor. FIAT Bogie model

with these working facilities is the first model of its kind over Indian Railway. Trainees will be

benefited by getting live demonstration of FIAT Bogie braking application and releasing.

V. COMMERCIAL EARNINGS:

a) 03 Fortress checks have been conducted during the week over NCR. Total number of 1432

passengers traveling either without or with irregular tickets/un-booked luggage was detected, and

Rs. 4.99 Lakh were realized from them.

b) 04 Bus Raids have been conducted during this week over AGC Division in NCR. 498 cases were

detected, fare realized Rs. 2.39 lakh.

c) 05 Special trains have been operated on 08.02.2016 & 02 special trains have been operated on

09.02.2016 from ALD station on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya to clear the extra rush of

Magh Mela 2016.

d) Frequent checks were carried out to nab ticket less/ irregular travel. Total 219 passengers were

detected and realized Rs. 0.77 Lakh.

e) During the period total 29 rakes of POL with earning Rs. 11.75 Crore have been loaded from

IOC/BAD in Agra division.

f) During the period total 25 rakes of Cement with earning Rs. 3.81 Crore have been loaded from

MJAC in ALD & DCPG in Jhansi Division.

g) During the period total 07 rakes of Fertilizer with earning Rs. 1.04 Crore have been loaded from

MKFP in Allahabad Division.

h) During the period total 14 rakes of Ballast with earning Rs. 0.66 Crore have been loaded from

CPC, SKGH & CAR in Allahabad Division.

g) Tokenless block instrument has been commissioned in Badausa-Atarra, Badausa-Bharatkup section of

JHS Division replacing Neales‟ Ball token Instrument.

VI. RELIABILITY & SAFETY IMPROVEMENT:

a) Encroachment by Rubber factory at Billochpura has been removed with the help of DM/Agra.

b) Work of Bituminous road carpeting in 340 mtr in length (1000 sqm) Colony No-3 & 1 at

Subedarganj has been done.

c) IPS, Datalogger and Solar Panel have also been provided at Badausa station in JHS Division.

d) Power Operated Lifting Barriers have been provided at LC Gate No. 480 (Badausa) in JHS Division by

replacing mechanically operated barrier. Sliding Booms have been commissioned at LC Gate No. 315

(Raibha) and LC Gate No.489 (Bhandai) of AGC Division.

e) In connection with ISS work, 09 Nos. cameras have been made functional at Allahabad station

IV. COMMERCIAL EARNINGS:

a) 04 Fortress checks have been conducted during the week over NCR. Total number of 1367

passengers traveling either without or with irregular tickets/un-booked luggage was detected, and Rs.

4.79 Lakh were realized from them.

b) Cycle/scooter stand contract awarded at Idgah station for 03 months at platform no. 1 side @

Rs1.06 Lakh and platform no. 2 side @ Rs. 1.51 Lakh.

c) During the period total 03 rakes of Foodgrains with earning Rs 0.64 Crore have been loaded from

DAA in Jhansi division.

d) During the period total 29 rakes of POL with earning Rs. 10.47 Crore have been loaded from

IOC/BAD in Agra division.

e) During the period total 17 rakes of Cement with earning Rs. 2.94 Crore have been loaded from

MJAC in ALD & DCPG in Jhansi Division.

A workshop with Chief Parcel Supervisors/Staff of major Parcel handling

stations of all the divisions was on 22.01.16 in Head Quarter, which was

of Parcels, efforts for increasing Parcel earning and use of HHT for

loading/unloading of Parcel were discussed.

This line will provide an alternative path between Etawah & Agra and will be useful in decongesting the A Route of Allahabad Division between Etawah & Tundla and Branch Line between Tundla & Agra Fort.

Division. e) To improve visibility, Signal No. 126 of GMC station has been shifted in ALD Division.

f) TMS telecom work has been completed at Malanpur in JHS Division.

g) Dual Fuse Monitoring Alarm system has been provided at Chirgaon, Nandkhas and Eric stations of JHS Division.

h) 13 Nos.of Shunt LED provided in place of lamp in Panki station of ALD Division.

i) Following works have been completed in Harpalpur station in Jhansi-Mahoba section:-

Regrading of yard i.e. from 1 in 150 to 1 in 400 have been done by removing two spring points & lifting of track by BCM.

Extension of Platform No. 1 by 156.4 m. Extension of 1st loop by 127m to make fit for 24

coaches. Extension of CSR of main line by 124 m. Extension of two Goods siding by 207 m & 135

m respectively.

j) 2.04 km Through weld renewal in Helak- Nandbai of Agra Fort- Bandikui section has been done by state of Art Mobile Flash Butt Welding Plant.

k) Loop line run through facility has been provided at Sujatpur and Siratho stations of ALD Division.

VIII. RELIABILITY & SAFETY IMPROVEMENT:

a) Replacement of 1 No. 52 Kg. ordinary switches done by 60 kg. Thick web switches. 01 No. in Baad Yard (DN Road). 220mm Throw Point Machines with clamp lock have been provided at Baad (Pt.108B) by replacing IRS Point Machines in connection with 160 kmph high speed in AGC Division.

d) 220mm Throw Point Machines with clamp lock have been provided at Bad (Pt.108A) and Chhata station (Pt.205B) in connection with 160 kmph high speed in AGC Division.

Aspect of the Distant Signal has been changed from Green to Double Yellow for trains

To prevent entry of cattle in platform area, barricading at ends of platform has been completed for all platforms at Jhansi station.

XII. RELIABILITY & SAFETY IMPROVEMENT: Block working between Churk

and Agory has been made reliable by transferring the block circuit from BSNL owned overhead alignment to newly laid 6 quad cable. With this, there is no circuit which is working on overhead alignment in N.C.Rly.

Problem of less illumination/lux level has been observed in locomotive. Electric loco Shed, Kanpur has provided 04 beam head light in loco no-22225 during IOH schedule for better focus illumination to loco pilot.

DN Home Signal & DN Advance Starter Signal are shifted at BDL in ALD Division to improve visibility.

Dual Detection has been provided at BHA Advance to IBS Advance in BHA-AGC section of AGC Division.

Modification has been done in EI at all the 9 stations in Mathura-Alwar section of AGC Division for clearance of Advance Starter Signal for first train when BPAC is in preparatory mode for first failure.

1.32 km Through Weld Renewal in Nadbai-Helak of Agra Fort-Bandikui section has been done using State of Art Mobile Flash Butt Welding Plant.

respectively amount realized Rs. 0.44 Lakh.

MRA in Jhansi Division and HDL in Agra Division.

Agra Division has issued allotment letter to the lease holders of 04 SLR comptts., 01 each in train

During surprise checks of Asstt. Guard cabin of train no. 13008 on 26.10.15 at AGC, under

charges collected Rs. 0.61 Lakh.

Over loading of 01 leased SLR comptt. of train no. 12276 Ex. NDLS to ALD was checked on

29.10.2015 & penalty recovered Rs. 0.32 lakh.

III. SWACH BHARAT MISSION/CLEANLINESS:

Cleanliness drives were organized at Agra Cantt and Mathura

stations on 31.10.2015, in association with Nirankari

Charitable Foundation, as part of Swachh Rail Swachh Bharat

mission.

Cleanliness drives under “Sardar Patel United Clean India” are being launched. Cleanliness of A-

1, A & other category stations and trains are being organized by nominating officers of the

divisions. Special drives for littering have been launched in all the divisions.

Second phase of cleanliness drive was ended. In this drive, emphasis was laid for

cleanliness of different offices, depots, pit lines, sheds etc.

Volunteers of Nirankari Sant Mission participated in cleaning of Allahabad and Kanpur

Stations premises on 31.108.2015 as a part of involving NGOs in „Swachh Bharat Abhiyan‟ going on in

Railways.

IV. GENERAL:

A meeting was organized with Hon‟ble Members of

Parliament of Agra Division jurisdiction on 28.10.2015,

which was attended by General Manager of N. C. Railway

along with PHODs/CHODs of NCR and DRM, besides other

officials of Agra Division. The effort was aimed to invite

suggestions for improving the services and to discuss local

problems and issues of public importance.

Vigilance Awareness Week:

Vigilance Awareness Week was observed on the Division from 26.10.2015 to 31.10.2015.

During the week long events, Commissioner, Agra was invited to address officers and staff

of Agra Division, on issues of good governance and eradication of mal-practices.

Besides the staff and officers of Railways, functions were organized in schools and colleges

of Agra, Baad and Mathura, to educate students on issues of corruption and ways to fights

against it, by way of debates, lectures etc.

On the occasion of birth anniversay of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, 31st October, 2015 was declared

to be observed as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (Natinal Unity Day). On this occasion, pledge to preserve

and strengthen unity, integrity and security of our nation was administered to officers and staff of

Agra Divison on 30.10.2015.

A run for unity was also organized, involving sportsmen, staff and officers. A march past by

scouts and guides was also part of the event.

10 in IDH-BKI section in AGC Division, at PRE, CAR, BH-K, NYN, ALD, SYWN, JJK, PTX,

TDL, CMR and DER stations of ALD Division and at Kabrai, Orcha, Banmore, Kotra, Link Jn.,

Kataiyadandi and Atarra stations of JHS Division.

Byculla make Analog Axle Counter has been provided for dual detection of UP IBS in DHO-

MIA section in AGC Division. Dual fuse alarm system has been provided at Ait on 22.10.15 in

JHS Division Modified LEDs have been provided at Bhua (06 Nos. ), Dabora (02 Nos.) and

Kotra (02 Nos.) in JHS Division.

Telecom circuit transferred in 6 Quad cable in Paricha-Paricha Thermal station section in JHS

Division. Similarly, overhead cable of Coach Guidance System at Orai Platform No.1 transferred

on underground cable on 22.10.15 in JHS Division.

Traction Machine Shed, Kanpur has designed and erected a material handling lift along with a

trolley in the limited space for transporting the coil between ground and first floors.

Solar lights at gate no. 158 between Erich Road-Parauna in JHS-CNB section of JHS div have

been put right by replacing old batteries and CFLs.

Timer switches have been provided in 06 no high mast towers of GWL station. & 02 no street

light circuit of officers colony JHS.

contact force measuring jig has been developed by

ELS/CNB which has helped in accurate setting of contact

force between fixed and mobile contacts and hence

reduced flashing between the contacts substantially.

Multilayered Loco Roof stacking stands have been

fabricated in-house at ELS/CNB for better housekeeping

and optimum utilisation of shop floor space.

IOH of coach no. 007470 NCGS has been done and OVP also tested in JHS division.

At Central station, Kanpur, by blocking all the ways, a raid was conducted at large level in which Rs. 3

lakh was charged as fine from the without ticket holder and the persons who were spreading litter in the

station premises.

IV. SWACH BHARAT MISSION:

On 02.10.2015, Swachch Bharat Abhiyan was started in ALD Division in big way and

Swachchta pledge was administered to the officer and staff at all the stations and offices.

Hon‟ble MPs, MLAs, Officers and staff voluntarily took part in the cleanliness drive. Banners,

hoarding, posters were displayed on prominent locations at all the stations. Musical jingles and

slogans were played to spread awareness about the cleanliness amongst the passengers and staff.

Sant Nirankari Samagam, Scout and Guides etc voluntarily participated in this Swachch Bharat

Campaign. Walk-a-thon was also organized.

Back Up Trains Detection through Axle Counters has been commissioned from Dailwara to

Lalitpur UP IBS with Universal Axle Counter on 02.10.2015 in Jhansi Division.

GR1 & GR2 circuit modification has been done at Erich to prevent bobbing of signals in Jhansi

Division.

VI. INFRASTRUCTURE & SKILL DEVELOPMENT:

Two days workshop on Electronic Interlocking was

conducted at NCR HQ under “Skill NCR Mission” of

the NCR. More than 100 officers and supervisors of the

three Divisions and HQ participated in the workshop

which has been conducted for the first time in Indian

Railway. Electronic Interlocking Technology Groups

have been formed in each of the three Divisions and HQ

to further carry out this work.

Mahila Sashaktikaran Workshop’ was organized on 28.09.2015 at ALD. In this connection need for

awareness of Mahila Self defence and the availing of scheme floated by the Central Government for

immediate help was emphasized.

IX. SAFETY & OPERATIONAL IMPROVEMENT (MOBILITY):

Allahabad Division achieved best ever inter change of 305 trains on 27.09.2015.

Previous best was 304 on 31.08.2015. High wagon throughput of 15045 was achieved on 27.09.2015

which is second best ever. Previous best was 15111 wagons on 31.08.2015.

CSR of UP Loop Line of Manauri station in Allahabad Division has been increased from 695m to

719m after shifting Loop Line Starter and Shunt Signal on 26.09.15. At Garmau (JHS Division),

loop line run through facility has been provided on 24.09.15. At Birlanagar, Anantpeth, Dabra &

Garmau stations in Jhansi Division, GR1 & GR2 circuit modification has been done to prevent

bobbing of signals.

1.18 km Through Weld Renewal in Idgah – Bandikui section has been done by State of Art Mobile,

Flash Butt Welding Plant. (Agra division). 24 Nos. ordinary SEJ replaced by improved SEJ at

Mathura-Palwal section. This is one of the requirement for Gatiman Express. Replacement of 52 kg

switches by insertion of 2 No. Thick Web Switches in Raja Ki Mandi (Up & Dn Road) completed

during this week.

After completion of pre NI & NI works at Idgah station of

Agra division, yard remodeling has been completed to

handle additional trains. Additional Platform No.4 has also

been added with Second Entry.

During the period from 19.09.2015 to 25.09.2015 following trains have been worked on Agra

Division:-

1) Pragati Trains - 10 nos.

2) Crack Trains - 18 nos.

3) Rocket Trains – 25 nos.

X. CLEANLINESS

In view of National Cleanliness Campaign under “Swachh

Bharat Mission” an intensive campaign for “Swachh Bharat

Mission” (SBM) was started at Agra Cantt., Agra Fort &

Mathura Jn. Railway Station on 26.09.2015 by Agra Division.

XI. COMMERCIAL EARNINGS:

During surprise check leased RSLR of Train No. 13008 was checked on 25.09.2015 at AF

and under charges collected Rs. 1,20,239/- for excess weight and penalty.

Fortress checks- 02 fortress check (on 21.09.2015 at Dholpur & 23.09.2015 at Mathura

Jn) + 01 bus raid (on 22.09.2015 at Kosi Kalan) has been conducted during the period. A

total of 1099 cases (873 in fortress + 226 bus raid) of irregular/ticketless passengers were

detected and revenue amounting to Rs. 4,04,905/- is released.

Frequent checks were carried out to nab ticketless/ irregular travel. Total 1007 passengers

were detected. Out of which 1007 passengers paid railway dues of Rs. 3,97,035/-

In addition to clearance of parcel through regular vans by regular trains, total 01 VP was

loaded nd additional earning of Rs. 1,03,736/- achieved through these VP.

Four fortress check with 2644 persons caught and penalty realized Rs. 14,36,305/- in Allahabad Divn.

XII. RELIABILITY IMPROVEMENT:

Dual detection has been commissioned at Dailwara-Lalitpur UP IB

between IB to LAR on 23.09.15 in JHS Division.

It is observed that uncoupling rod of CBC coupler of locomotive

generally gets damaged during cattle run over. Problem in

uncoupling operation of CBC, at the time when locomotives is

placed at platform, is reported. In many CRO cases, coupler

operating rod gets bent or damaged & results in breakage of levers

& rotary lock. Many times, the locomotives become in-operable

with these damages.

For CRO protection for operating handle damages & to facilitate

CBC coupler opening from any side of the locomotive; Electric

loco Shed, Kanpur carried out conversion of CBC uncoupling

arrangement from bottom operated to top operated with both side

handle as an action plan for CRO cases.

Structural changes in loco cab‟s front body is carried out and fitted

with this double sided operating rods so that the handles are

positioned behind the buffers & operating rod is at a safe height.

IOH of 02 no. AC Coaches & 07 nos. TL Coaches carried out at Allahabad & Kanpur depot of ALD

div. 07 TL coaches were jointly checked with C&W at Allahabad & Kanpur depot in ALD div. 05

Nos. OVPs tested by OVP testing kit. Total Cumulative 332 nos. OVP's have been tested in ALD

div.

XIII. INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT:

Solar light at gate no. 223 in Kanpur- Jhansi section, S-10 & 12 in Khairar Jn-Bhimsen section and

LC gate no. 445 in Gwalior section have been put right in working condition by replacing old

batteries and defective CFLs in Jhansi div. Electrification of Gate no. 457 through solar Light in

Gwalior-Agra Cantt section in Jhansi div has been done.

New/Additional DG set of 160 KVA has been installed in Surajkund substation at Allahabad. One

additional 500 KVA transformer has been commissioned in Company Bagh substation at Tundla to

cater the forthcoming load of CTC at Allahabad division.

05 Nos. TL coaches arrived from AMV/GKPS workshop after POH in ALD div. The coaches have

been tested and commissioned in various train services.

One 17.5HP pump has been provided at RCC pump house feeding water to Gwalior station & East

colony Gwalior in Jhansi division.

At Orai (JHS Division), loop line run through facility has been provided on 19.09.15.

Level Crossing:

One Busy Manned Level Crossing No. 35 B in Naini-Allahabad section of

Mughalsarai-Allahabad closed after obtaining CRS sanction.

De-shafting & Re-shafting of rotors of three phase traction motors type 6FRA 6068.

Re-shafting of Rotors of Traction Motor Type 6FRA6068 has

been started at Traction Motor Shop 9TMS), Kanpur. Re-shafting

cost will be low in comparison re-shafting done by OEM. This

shall be resulted in improved availability of Locomotive.

13 Nos. OVPs tested by OVP testing kit. Total Cumulative 327 nos. OVP's have been tested in ALD

div.

INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT:

Wheel shop (G-1 Section) of Electric loco Shed, Kanpur has

been provided with “solar pipe day light” for illumination

improvement and energy conservation, utilizing solar light,

for its day shift working.

Total 27 nos. solar pipe day lights have been installed in

wheel shop. As a result, there is improvement of lux level

from earlier average 50 to 60 lumens level (at machine

working level) to 100 lumens. Estimated load saving of

approx. 7 KW during day shift, equivalent to approx. 70 units

consumption per day (10 hrs Day light duration) is achieved.

Average saving with solar day light of wheel shop is expected to be Rs 1.25 lacs per annum.

Solar lights at gate no. 215, 220 & 221 have been put right by replacing old batteries and CFLs in

JHS div.

Timer switch has been provided in high mast tower in 06 no high mast towers of GWL station. & 02

no street light circuit of officers colony JHS.

Electrification of newly constructed gate lodge at LC gate no. 120/C of ALD division has been done.

STAFF WELFARE

Provision of street light has been made in Railway colony Dagmagpur of ALD division by erecting

20 nos. electric poles with fittings of 150 watt HPSV.

Electrification of 31 no. Type-1 Spl Railway quarters has been completed at Dagmagpur by taking

connection from UPPCL.

Rewiring work of 06 nos. type II Railway quarters at MRPR station of JHS division has been

completed.

PASSENGER AMENITY

Defective UPS of 2 KVA capacity has been replaced with new one at BTKP station in JHS division

for reliability of standby power supply to UTS.

Old and failure prone RE cable has been replaced with 6 quad cable in Antri-Sandalpr section (6 Km.) of

Jhansi Division.

Prevention of Failure of Interconnecting Leads of Main Poles of stator of EMU TM by securing

them through clamps during repair at Traction Machine Shed, Kanpur for better reliability and

availability of EMU.

Challenge:

Majority of EMU Stators are received for repairing on account of melting, flashing & parting of

interconnector cable joints between main pole coils.

Challenge was to introduce support in square shape stator for four pole traction motors.

Gravity of Problem:

Approximately 70% EMU Stators are received for repairing on account of melting, flashing &

parting of interconnector cable joints between main pole coils.

Sharp bend found in coil lead and length of interconnector cable joint is more due to EMU stator

square design and four pole construction.

Inter connector cables are not supported anywhere in EMU stators.

During EMU/MEMU running vibration causes cracks on sharp edges of inter connecting cable

and unsupported portion of inter connector cable, subsequently leads to melting, flashing &

parting of interconnector cable.

Action Taken

Clamp designed to support main pole interconnecting cable on stator frame below

interconnecting cable joints.

These clamps are welded in stator frame and taped through insulating tape.

Epoxy spacer block is provided between clamp & lead connecting strip.

Connector lead strip is firmly supported with clamp and lead spacers.

Advantages :

Lead parting failure will be minimized due to vibration during EMU running.

Increased reliability and availability of locomotives.

Reduction in the cost of maintenance of Electric Locomotives.

Bhimsen from GMC of Allahabad Division was 17 on 06.09.2015. Previous best was 16 trains on

25.12.2010.

NI at Palwal in NR.

3. Allahabad City Station (Ram Bagh)/N.E.R. Yard Display

Indications have been provided at Allahabad RRI on 05.09.2015.

4. Sarai Bhupat DN Loop Line CSR has been increased to 715 m on 05.09.15.

5. Tokenless Block Instrument has been provided between Khurand and Atara stations in JHS Division on

04.09.15.

6. Loop line run-through facility has been provided at Lalitpur, Matatila, Mohasa, Moth and Udaypura.

With this loop line run through facility on entire main line section of JHS Division has been provided.

7. At Vrindaban Road & Ajhai station of Agra Division, timer of overlap release has been changed from

120 sec. to 60 sec. to facilitate faster movement in yard & avoid detention.

8. 02 nos. TWS point machines with ground connection have been replaced at Runkuta (Pt. 107B) and

Rundhi station (Pt. 295B) of Agra Division in connection with 160 kmph speed.

9. 1.54 km Through Weld Renewal in Idgah-Bayana section, 1.26 km n Idgah-Bandikui section & 2.87

km in JHS-MKP section has been done by State of Art Mobile Flash Butt Welding Plant.

10. The girder of Br. No. 25 has been raised by 36cm by providing

special design stools as per requirement, in a traffic block of

3.5 hours. There was a speed restriction of 60KMPH on this

bridge on account of low level of bridge. Now the speed

restriction will be removed after ballasting, lifting & packing of

approach track.

11. Three fortress check with 816 persons caught and penalty realized Rs. 3,31,140/- on Allahabad

Division. 03 nos. fortress check has been conducted during the period on Agra Division. A total of

2014 cases of irregular/ ticketless passengers were detected and revenue amounting to Rs. 7,62,610/- is

released. Frequent checks were carried out to nab ticketless/ irregular travel on Agra Division. Total

162 passengers were detected. Out of which 162 passengers paid railway dues of Rs. 50,580/-.

12. After taking Ramgarh/TSS in service in Mathura-Alwar section since April 2015 there was continuous

penalty in energy bill due to low power factor. It was due to less electrical load in Mathura-Alwar

section. A study was done regarding load pattern and capacity of shunt capacitor bank was modified. It

resulted in increase in power factor from 0.30 to 056.

13. 6 Nos. 60 kg ordinary SEJ replaced by improved SEJ at

Mathura-Palwal section. This is one of the requirement for

Gatiman Express.

Level Crossing:

1. In Tundla-Ghaziabad section between Daud Khan-

Aligarh Jn. stations road surface at Level Crossing No-

106B & 107C has been improved by providing FRP

blocks. This will provide a durable and better road

surface for road vehicles.

2. LHS in replacement of Level Crossing No. 52 in Idgah-

Bayana section has been completed in all respect

(approach road, shed & retaining wall) and Level

Crossing has been closed.


1. In order to prevent breakage of failure prone EPDM/EVA/BHEL insulators, 10 nos. such insulators have

been replaced.

2. Correct procedure of application of appropriate number and

weights of balance weights at appropriate locations in Electric

Loco TM armatures before carrying out repair/rewinding at

Traction Machine Shed, Kanpur.

Total weight of balance weight is now lying within 250-

300 gram which minimised the possibility of balancing

weight uprooting.

Balancing weight uprooting are reduced on line.

Ovality and MTBT will remain under prescribed limit as welding of balance weights on disc spring

has been stopped strictly now.

Increased reliability and availability of locomotives.

3. Dual fuse and alarm system has been provided at Orai and Pokhrayan stations in JHS division on

03.09.15.

4. Dual detection has been provided on UP Line for BPAC between Antri and Sandalpur on 05.09.15.

5. Airtel (CUG) mobile access in Tundla Control office has been markedly improved with the provision of

Repeater resulting in much better coordination.

CLEANLINESS:

1. To ensure cleanliness at station and in terms of Commercial Circular No. 76/2012, frequent announcement

were made for passenger awareness and posters were displayed. 152 persons were detected and a fine of

Rs. 16300/- released.

SAFETY:

1. Dumper working very close to track in Chunar-Chopan Section of Allahabad Division was involved

in side rubbing and infringing with coaches. Dumper has been seized and legal action is being taken

by the RPF against the driver.

2. Train Dacoit Virmanad of Aligarh Junction was arrested and in his possession HTC mobile (value

Rs. 25,000/-), knife and cash was recovered from him.

General:

1. Highest ever Inter Change of 297 trains achieved on 30.08.2015 on Allahabad Division. Earlier best

was 295 on 01.02.2015. Second highest Throughput of 14488 wagons was achieved on 30.08.2015

on Allahabad Division. The highest ever figure being 14599 on 06.01.2015. Interchange ¼BXN

Point)- 29 Train (T/O 14 + M/O 15) was on 24.08.2015, which is best ever in F.Y. 2015-16 on Agra

Division.

2. NCR has launched a drive to check and send BOXN HL rakes working Twin Pipe from power

plants. Out of total 33 such rakes received at power plants Dadri and Paricha in last one month ,17

were received single pipe even though the twin pipe system was available and working. These

rakes were sent twin pipe working to improve throughput and performance.

3. Control and Block Working in Mahoba-Kulpahar block section (22 km) of Jhansi-Banda section

has been transferred on newly laid 6 quad cable. With this, the control and block working on entire

Jhansi-Banda section has been brought on reliable 6 quad cable thereby doing away with erratic

working on BSNL owned overhead alignment.

4. Control Working has been commissioned in Chunar-Chopan section(100 km) on 26.08.2015

resulting in much better coordinated train operation in the section.

5. Signaling Logic: Improved at Mathura station, timer of overlap release has been changed from 120

sec. to 60 sec. to facilitate faster movement in yard & avoid detention. Automatic Route Release

facility has been provided at Dadri West Cabin on 27.08.2015. Run through facility via loop line at

Sarsaul-Prempur has been commissioned on 24.08.2015.

6. Starters have been shifted at the foot of the glued joint in Sarsaul and Prempur, as per Railway

Board‟s guidelines on 24.08.2015 to improve CSR.

7. RRI/CNB route cancellation timer has been reduced to one minute from two minutes earlier w.e.f.

27.08.2015.RRI/ALD route cancellation timer has been reduced to one minute w.e.f. 24.08.15.

8. EMU 64903 first passenger carrying train ran in the Chata - Hodal 3rd line on 22.08.2015 after CRS

sanction.

9. At Agra Cantt. OHE of Main Line separated from the Yard. At Mathura Goods Shed 3 infringing

masts removed & OHE made fit for extension of Goods Shed.

10. 4. nos. ordinary SEJs replaced by improved SEJ (60 kg.) at

MTJ-PWL section of Agra division. This is a desirable

requirement for high speed train operation.

11. 04 Fortress Checks have been conducted during the week over NCR. 1282 Passengers Traveling

either without or with irregular tickets/ un-booked luggage were detected, and Rs. 4.89 Lakh was

realized. Four(04) bus raids have been done in this period in

ALD division and (01) one in JHS division out of which, 297

persons were detected and fine realized Rs 1.15 lacs.

Level Crossing:

4 No. unmanned level crossing i.e. LC No. 80, 81, 82, 86 in MTJ-AWR section & 2 No. manned

level crossing i.e. LC No. 35 in IDH-BKI & LC No. 500 in AGA-BLGJ have been closed during the

week.

Level Crossing Gate No.71 between Sarsaul-Prempur has been interlocked on 24.08.2015. This will

enhance safety.

Level Crossing Gate no.133 /C has been illuminated through AT supply on ALD division.


Red Die Penetrant Test (RDPT)

of Rotor clamp (Head Hub) of Hitachi Traction Motors started at Traction Machine Shed, Kanpur

for early detection of crack leading to better reliability and availability of Electric locomotives.

CLEANLINESS:

Mass tree plantation carried out in JHS West colony in presence

of DRM Shri S.K.Agarwal & other divisional officers on dt.

20.08.2015 at Jhansi. 60,000 Number of trees planted in Jhansi

division on 20.08.2015. Total 4,10,161 trees have been planted in

NCR upto August 2015 in 2015-16.

13 nos encroachments have been removed from traffic colony

INNOVATIONS:

Two automatic banner flag has been provided by

departmental resources at manned level crossing No. 224 &

368 in Jhansi division.

1.6 Km Through Weld Renewal in JHS-MKP section, 2.8

km in IDH-BXN & 1.34 km in IDH-BKI section has been

done by state of Art Mobile Flash Butt Welding plant.


As a part of improvement of passenger amenities, Platform

surface of PF No. 4 at Gwalior station (Jhansi division)

improved by providing kota stone flooring.

SAFETY:

On 26.08.15 ALP Sri Surendra Kumar, HQ/JHS, during under-frame inspection of loco no.

31414/KIR Spl at PF No. 1 of JHS station, observed petrol oil leakage from nozzle in tank wagon

no. 2 & 3 from engine. He immediately informed the same to his Loco Pilot & TLC/JHS. Further,

the train was shunted in new yard & attended by TXR staff. Thus, a serious mishap was averted due

to alertness of crew.
