THE ORGANIZATION GOLDEN GLOBE CONSTRUCTION

Established in 1995, Golden Globe Construction is part of the Imani Group

of Companies with a 30 year track record in the Vancouver real estate and

construction industry.

Golden Globe's experience includes new multi-family residential, low, mid

and high-rise building remediation and tenant improvements.

It is the Imani Group's vision to further grow and diversify Golden Globe by

building on it's core strengths and resources.

THE OPPORTUNITY PRESIDENT

Reporting to the Ownership Group, this newly created position will report to and work closely with the

ownership to attain its growth strategies. The President should be attuned to the ownership’s needs

and values, setting standards for organizational conduct and inspiring the team around a focused,

growth-oriented mission.

The President will lead the business and be responsible for operations, reporting and overall

performance of projects throughout the tender and construction phases. The successful candidate

will ideally have a wide range of project experience and will take a proactive approach to increase

organizational capacity to deliver on these projects, while maintaining quality and teamwork.

The President will be a key driver of continuous improvement in organizational processes, ensuring

Golden Globe’s continued status as an industry leader. The successful candidate will ensure that all

projects and contracts are fulfilled on time and budget and in keeping with quality standards and

regulations, providing leadership and mentorship to staff to improve operational efficiency.

KEY ACCOUNTABLITIES

• Working with and advising the ownership on future plans and the direction of the company;

• Develop short, medium, and long-term business plans and budgets for steady growth;

• Implement and maintain efficient systems and procedures;

• Developing/managing a strong team, leading by example with focus on accountability, quality

and integrity; developing a healthy, friendly, and positive work environment;

• Lead business development, diversification, new opportunities, pre-qualifications, tendering,

and negotiations;

• Project execution throughout the pre-construction, construction and post construction phases;

• Manage risk in all aspects of the business.

THE PERSON

The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader who is well experienced with the complexities of building

envelope remediation and able to build strong business partnerships. Possessing an inclusive,

collaborative leadership style, the President builds engagement with both staff and the ownership

group by creating a true team environment, leveraging the considerable expertise and strength that

exists within the organization. The President should also be decisive, and possess sufficient business

acumen to network and prospect for new customers, with a view to developing lasting relationships

and guide staff through challenging construction initiatives.

Required Qualifications, Education, and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A minimum of 15 years of related professional experience, with at least seven years in leadership

positions;

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in technical business, real estate, land and

economics and/or related fields;

• Experience in a wide range of construction projects including project construction management;

• Must have a pragmatic and diplomatic approach to managing people through change

management and projects;

• Demonstrated process and systems-oriented approach to project management;

• Ability to manage multiple projects, groups, people and activities;

• Superior analytical skills with strong leadership skills with business acumen;

• Professional Engineering License, PMP certification, or equivalent is an asset.

A competitive compensation package will be provided including an attractive base salary and excellent
