A day in the life of an OptimHome agent.Being an OptimHome agent is similar to being an estate agent in any other setting, except that you don’t have the expense and the inconvenience of maintaining a high street office. What’s more, you can work whenever you choose, making this an ideal opportunity for ambitious professionals with family or other commitments

Like any estate agent, you will spend your days prospecting for new business, taking instructions, matching homes to clients, conducting viewings, updating your database and negotiating deals. Unlike just any estate agent, you’ll get to keep up to 98% of your turnover as income, with minimal expenses.

Exceptional opportunities.Exceptional rewards.As an OptimHome agent, you can enjoy some of the highest rewards in the business. You will receive a commission of between 70% and 98% of your turnover, with no entry fees and no franchise agreement. What’s more, you won’t have any of the expenses of running a high street office.

Our lowest commission (still a very generous 70%) is paid on your accumulated turnover (sales fees) up to £60,000 and then moves up on a sliding scale to our highest (a remarkable 98%) when your turnover reaches £212,000 per annum, so your income from sales on property alone has enormous potential.

One of our French agents has earned £62,000 on a single sale and our best new partners have made more than £48,000 in their first month of activity.

As well as this, your can also earn additional fee income from our partners for services you introduce to them for lettings, financial services and energy performance certificates (EPC’s).

As an OptimHome agent, as well as property sales, you’ll be able to offer your clients, a professional lettings service, fully managed or let only – we call it our ‘let and forget’ solution. Our partnership with one the country’s best resourced letting management companies, who deal with 12,000 properties and have a maintenance and inventory service across the UK, is unique. This means you can generate a lucrative additional income from letting fees and become a real ‘one stop shop’ for property sales AND lettings in your area!

Training to get you on the right track.Our integration and training programme is designed to give you a fast start as an OptimHome agent. It is delivered by experienced professionals from the estate agency industry, each with specialist skills in a particular area such as the law, conveyancing, financial services and property letting management.

First you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the legal framework underpinning the profession, including the offer-to-sale process and the latest regulatory developments. Then we will school you in all aspects of business generation, including sales, marketing and networking.

For example, we’ll give you all the help and guidance you need to maximise the business in your area; train you how to get leads and instructions and support you thoroughly as you get your new business off the ground.

You can also expect to learn the sharpest techniques in negotiating, so that you attain the best prices for your clients and the highest rewards for yourself, whilst gaining a thorough grounding in financial services, conveyancing and letting.

We just ask you to bring basic industry knowledge – and the will to succeed.

All the support you need to succeed.Once you have participated in the free OptimHome accelerator training programme, you can expect regular local training and development seminars to keep your skills sharp. We also hold two national training initiatives every month, which you are welcome to attend. But that’s just the beginning.

Our 24-hour call handling support, your own website and a dedicated email address mean you’ll never miss an enquiry, and our national platform means there will be plenty of them. We’ll also provide you and your clients with expert financial services, legal and accountancy support, plus a comprehensive software system that matches your sellers and buyers and feeds ads into all the major property websites.

But that’s not all – we’ll furnish you with a comprehensive start-up pack, including business cards, flyers, contracts and documents, as well as sales and lettings boards and magnetic stickers for your car. Frequently Asked Questions.Is OptimHome a franchise?

No, this is not a franchise, and you will not need to make any payment to us to start your business. We simply set up an ongoing month-by-month agreement that you can terminate at any time.

Will I get enough business without an office?

You will be part of a national network of agents with a very high profile on the internet. Your properties for sale will be posted to all the major property websites and you will have your own dedicated site to attract clients. That beats any high street location we know of!

What equipment will I need to supply?

You will need to have your own transport, computer, printer, scanner, digital camera and mobile phone. Chances are you own all of these already, and anything you need to buy will be tax-deductible against your profits.

What areas can I work in?

OptimHome operates throughout England and Wales. Obviously we aim to prevent overlap between our agents, but provided your home region is not already covered there should be no problem.

Can I join OptimHome if I am an existing estate agent?

Yes, we are looking for people with great industry knowledge. Your contract does not contain a non-competition clause so you are entitled to work with OptimHome as well as any other estate agency or any other business.
