1 Introduction

This document contains all the modifications made to Stores2 from the 1.25.0 version.

2 Useful Information

N.B.:

The fixes include all previous fixes starting from the Service Pack (i.e. the fix 1.25.3 will include

all the fixes released starting from Service Pack 1.25.0).

2.1 External Modules

IMPORTANT: the following external modules must also be released with sp 1.25.0:

S2_UC00.exe

S2_UC02.exe

S2_UC06.exe

S2_UC15.exe replaces S2_UC13.exe

S2_UC14.exe

S2_UC16.exe (if you want to perform the archiving function on access databases)

S2_UC18.exe (solves a problem related to the calendar, and it is necessary to install it

at customers who use Epson cash registers)

so check which ones are already present in the installation and release the remaining ones.

The setup of this version already contains all these components (excluding S2_UC16.exe and

S2_UC18.exe).

2.2 Host data interchange tracks

Make sure that the host data interchange tracks are always updated to the version in question

(see document DOC.06.0145).


2.3 Changes to Stores2 database

If you need to make changes to the Stores2 database (add indexes, views, etc.) you need to

follow the rules described in the document “MCR.09.0208.0.ADE-(en) - Customer changes to

database.doc”. Ask the Fortech technical department for the document.

3 List of modifications

3.1 Service Pack 1.25.0 release on 30/06/2010

This update brings the database level to version 2577.

3.1.1 Addition of new functionalities

General (olt 9375): The possibility has been added of saving generic Stores2 use traces

and warehouse document deletion traces in the ‘LOG.TXT’ log file (see

General (olt 9549): The fill factor default value assigned by Stores2 during the index

Master data (olt 9718): Modification of INDICOD barcode generation for products (see

suspended in Stores2 it was not possible to have suspended and unsuspended prices.

Greek taxes (olt 9194): An algorithm has been added to validate the Greek VAT number

(activated from Master data -> General Parameters -> Countries);

Master data (prb 87324): Increase of shipping address length on general parameters to

50 characters;

Quick price lists (87183): Modification of the ‘price node class’ filter on the reference

price list; addition of an option on the classenodoprezzo filter on the reference price list

screen, on the quick price list creation form, to display price lists with no value assigned

to classenodoprezzo (possibility already present in the nodoprezzo filter);

Sales (prb 87828): Improvement of the automatic date updating after midnight in

receipt management;


Sales (prb 85704): Improvements to the driver for Olivetti cash registers; modification

to the courtesy phrase setting phase;

Sales (prb 86104): Improvement to the product search functionality to speed up the

product list loading phase;

Sales (prb 87723): Execution of an optimization so that all the receipts are saved which

are generated in one sale. This information is then also saved on the log;

Sales (prb 87082): Receipt format for non-fiscal printers, modification for managing

‘centered’ alignment on the courtesy phrase;

Warehouses (prb 87160): Addition of localization (English) to the price control function;

Warehouses (prb 87089): Improvement to suspended movement list management; by

mistake the suspended movement list was ‘designed’ based on the settings of the list of

movements and not suspended movements;

Connections (prb 86724): Modification of the program by adding the call to the stock

reconstruction function in the event of unsupervised connection. If the ‘unsupervised’

flag is enabled the program sets the reorganization flag as indicated in general

parameters for the automatic connection;

Connections (prb 87632): Modification of acquisition from host of head office rejected

returns. If the return is rejected and cancelled, the program will cancel the RifMov*

fields;

3.1.3 Corrections

Other (prb 87792): Correction of apostrophe replace in the product code when it is used

in the cReperisciListino function query;

Other (prb 87904): Correction of the 'Allow zero length' setting for TEXT fields during

the database reconstruction phase;

Other (prb 86243): Addition of scroll bar where necessary and missing (‘script’ form in

general parameters and in statistics management) to display the entire text;


Master data (prb 86750): Correction of a error in kit by size management in SQL Server

environment; in SQL Server environment and with a database which manages sizes, by

entering ‘new’ of a kit there was an error due to an incorrect SQL Server string;

Master data (prb 87997): Customer orders considered in the data deletion function;

Master data (prb 88239): Correction of supplier order data reconstruction in the db

reconstruction phase;

Master data (prb 88437): Correction of fidelity data exporting in the event of ‘fidelity’

sorting;

Master data (prb 88507): Correction of kit master data saving;

Quick price lists (prb 86205): Correction of a problem saving any prices at zero; the

program also saved the records in the 'prodottiprezzi' table with prices at zero, if

present in the grid;

Statistics (prb 86355): Improvement of times of statistics with filters on nodes;

Statistics (prb 87624): Correction of the ‘competition’ data source, the ‘Sequential’ was

not filtered in the printing phase;

Customers (prb 87700): Enlargement of the fields for customer type to manage long

translations as well;

Sales (prb 87907): Correction of the price retrieval if the price node class is not set;

Sales (prb 85838): Correction of a problem with the scroll arrows in receipt return, if

the receipt contains many sales lines;

Sales (prb 87380): Correction of key block in the payment with discounts phase;

Sales (prb 86787): Correction of a problem where logically cancelled returns were not

later taken into consideration;


Connections (prb 85677): Correction of the message sending function to the head office

node in the event of unaligned stock on stores;

master data and improved screen loading performance;

Sales (prb 89855, 90003): Improvements to promotion management to make the

messages clearer;

Connections (prb 90087): Modification to database reorganization settings. By default,

the reindex and reorganization are no longer enabled. They will need to be re-enabled

manually. In addition the reorganization and reindex functions if set for automatic

activations, will never be executed by the head office;
