1 .Lymphatic swellings .2 .Cystic swellings.3 .Others swellings.
Cystic hygroma –Lymphangioma.
Is a developmental benign cystic dilatation of lymphatic vessel aggregation at variable ages after
birth. characteristically soft swelling may occur at any
point in the neck from the base of the skull down to the mediastinum.
the cystic mass may be solitary or multiple and
may infiltrate into and around muscle and nerve .
making excision extremely difficult and hazardous there is also a danger in the infant of sudden
enlargement with obstruction of the airway.
3 .Others swellings.
1 .Sternomastoid muscles tumors. 2 .7th Cervical vertebras ribs .
3. Lipoma. 4 .Carotid body tumors.
5 .Aneurism ( dilation of blood vessels ) mid space between upper and lower part of neck
laterally.

6 .Nuro- fibroma .
7 .Carcinoma . specially left side because present of thoracic duct .
8.Enlargment thyroid gland goiter.
