Principal’s Message Could parents please remember to sign in and out at the front

office when they visit the school? It is a requirement under

WH & S legisla on that this occurs and obviously is based on

the safety factor.

Winter jumpers are available from the school uniform shop. It

is an expecta on that all children wear uniform each day.

Please be aware that “hoody” type tops are not acceptable for

school.

I have had a number of conversa ons re my points on the

future of school libraries and whether we go down the “e”

book line. So far the responses have been strongly in favour of

retaining our focus on actual paper books. The parents I have

spoken to strongly believe that “real” books i.e. the books we

have all grown up with cannot be replaced by electronic

media. They are actually part of the family bonding process

and reading these to their children helps develop the family

unit. Interes ngly I was reading some research on this and it

indicated that those reading electronic media do not engage

with it as deeply as those reading “real” books.

Tomorrow night we will be having parent teacher interviews

for most of our classes. We have trialled an online booking

process which appears to have worked well. If you have had

any concerns with this could you let Mrs Mestrom know as she

has overseen this format? Our schedules are very ght

tomorrow so please be on me and aware that others will be

wai ng for their turn at the allo ed interval.

Lots of sport coming up for the students. Best of luck to all our

par cipants in their differing compe ons.
