Welcome to the ORANGE INN!Established in 1931, the first juice bar in

California was located on the coast of the IrvineRanch between Laguna Beach and its neighborto the north, Newport Beach.Originally a refreshment stop for the Irvine

Ranch cowboys, it became an oasis for travelerson the old two-lane road that would become Pa-cific Coast Highway. Fresh, hand-squeezed or-ange juice was served to thirsty travelers. TheOrange Inn became home of the “OriginalSmoothieTM” and the “California Date ShakeTM”and a favorite stop for beach enthusiasts who en-joyed the pristine beaches, excellent diving andgreat waves. The menu grew and the Orange Innwas named “one of the ten best roadsiderestaurants in America” by Esquire magazine. The OI was a fixture on Pacific Coast Highway

for over fifty years. When the wide-openspaces gave way to development in 1986, theOrange Inn moved to Laguna Beach where itremains today; carrying on the rich traditionso warmly remembered and still operated byyour hosts John and Kathy Bodrero.
