Orange-Chamomile Blondies

Orange-Chamomile Blondies Makes 16 squares

Ingredients

Nonstick cooking spray1 (15.5-ounce) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed 1/2 cup almond butter

1/3 cup honey2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract2 tablespoons dried chamomile (about 5 chamomile tea bags)1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons orange zest (from 1 orange)1 tablespoon canola oil 1/2 teaspoon sea salt1/4 teaspoon baking powder1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips1/3 cup chopped pecans, optional

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8-inch square pan with cooking spray.

2. In the base of a food processor or blender, add chickpeas, almond butter, honey, vanilla, chamomile, orange zest, oil, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Blend until smooth and creamy.

3. Fold in the chocolate chips and pecans, if using.

4. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and the edges are a tiny bit brown, about 25 to 30 minutes. Let the blondies cool in the pan for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
