Sabbatical Support Funding Opportunities

Sabbatical Support Funding

Sabbatical assignments are designed to provide faculty with time to focus on their professional development as researchers and teachers. Institutional support often involves provision of salary to cover one semester. Sabbatical support from outside sponsors is then sought by faculty to fill the salary gap, pursue their interests and/or learn new research skills in different settings.

What’s in this e-Book?

This publication provides information on funding opportunities available to University of Wyoming faculty who are contemplating sabbatical leave. We have included both traditional sabbatical support fellowships that pay the additional half salary, other types of fellowships that provide some level of financial support and helpful opportunities that provide for the intensity of concentration required for successful sabbatical outcomes.

Need More Help?

We invite you to take advantage of ORED’s personalized strategy planning and fund searching services to identify sponsors and funding programs specific to your research interests.

The ORED e-Book Series includes Sabbatical Support, Pilot Project Funding and Funding Opportunities for New Investigators.
