Invited Speakers
Eric REINEROntario Ministry of the Environment andClimate Change.Eric holds adjunct professor status at the Department of Chemistry at the University of Toronto and University of Waterlooand Department of Environmental Forensics at Pennsylvania State University .Eric obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in 1986 in Analytical Chemistry / Mass Spectrometry. He has been working in the field of ultra-trace environmental analysis for more than 30 years and his research interests include the analysis of dioxin-like and other emerging toxic organics including halogenated flame retardants, perfluorinated compounds and industrial chemicals as well as advanced analytical techniques such as Fast GC, 2 Dimensional GC,chemical ionization mass spectrometry, tandem mass spectrometry and analytical automation.
Shu TAOProfessor, School of urban and Environmental Sciences, Peking University, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 1977, he graduated from the Department of Geology and geography of Peking University. He received his master's degree and Ph. D. degree from University of Kansas in 1981 and 1984. He is currently the director of the Chinese Geographical Society's environmental geography Specialized Committee, chairman of the Asia Pacific branch of the international society for environmental toxicology and chemistry, ES&T consultant, editorial board, IEAM deputy editor, and international journal editor of EP and JEGH.In January 2015, the Eleventh National Congress of the China geographical society was elected vice president of the eleventh session of the council.
R. Paul Philp Professor of the School of Geology and Geophysics,University Of OklahomaDuring his tenure at the University he has mentored and graduated over 150 M.S. and Ph.D. students; he was also Acting Director of the School of Geology and Geophysics for 2 years from 1987 to 1989. In addition to the graduate students the geochemistry group has seen a steady stream of international visitors from China, Russia, S. America, Africa, China, Japan, SE Asia, India, Europe, Australia and New Zealand to name a few. Many of these visitors were sponsored by their governments or industry to visit the University and learn the basics of geochemistry that could then be utilized and applied upon return to their own countries. In addition to the visitors there has also been a significant number of post-doctoral fellows working on a wide variety of
20
research projects. Many of these exchange visits lead to many long term research relationships which remained active over many years.
Event
Young Professional Forum on Environment and Health
Since 2016, CSES has been developing a project called "Encourage Outstanding Young Scientists", give financial supports to young scholars and try to develop innovative select mechanism and assessment standard for young scientists. The Symposium aims to improve research standard of the young scientists through sharing their latest research results with academic experts in the area and having one2one tutorials.
2017 Young Professional
Jing HUANG , Phd
Lecturer, School of public health, Peking University
Secretary of environmental medicine and health branch of Chinese society of Environmental Sciences.
Main research areas, effects and mechanisms of air pollution on human health. Presided over the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Fund 1, participated in the National Natural
Science Foundation of 2 projects, "11th Five-Year" National Science and technology support program 1. The first author publishes 2 papers in SCI journals, and 5 papers in Chinese core journals. The co-authors publish 4 papers in SCI journals and 3 papers published in Chinese journals. In 2012 and 2013 respectively the global atmospheric chemistry International Conference Exhibition 2013 best young scientists award and the outstanding Doctorate Dissertation of Peking University.
21
RSC Student Award
INEF has an active student outreach program with the express purpose of encouraging students to pursue studies in environmental forensics.
The scientific committee will review submitted student oral and poster presentations during the conference. The committee will select the best student presentations and present them with a cash reward on the closing ceremony last day.
A copy of the book of “China Report on Advances in Environmental Sciences” (edited by Chinese Society for Environmental Science) will be reward to the excellent students by CSES.
22
Publication of ProceedingsContributions made by researchers at the conference will be made available in two formats; collection of abstracts and poster presentation .All addresses, plenary sessions, symposiums and abstracts of speeches may be found with the program schedule.
INEF2017 encourages presenters to submit manuscripts based on the contents of their presentations. These manuscripts are assembled and published as a peer-reviewed collection. The proceedings will be placed as a special edition in the journal of Environmental Protection (JEP). JEP is an open access journal, all published articles will be available free of charge to everybody. If your manuscript is accepted for publication INEF will cover your publication costs.
We have a strict deadline of November 1st for all submissions, manuscripts submitted after this date will not be considered.
Details of how to prepare an abstract and a MS word template can be found on the INEF 2017 conference website (http://www.rsc-inef.net/inef-2017.html). When your manuscript is completed please submit to Dave Megson ([email protected]) or Gwen O’Sullivan ([email protected]). Your manuscript will then be reviewed by at least two reviewers and returned to you.

General Information
Location and VenueWelcome to Beijing, one of the leading capitals of the world and the host of the 2008 Olympics. With a history that is more than 3000 years, Beijing is an amazing mix of old and new. For centuries Beijing has been the center for cultural and business activities and is today beyond doubt a truly world class and international city.
Beijing is located in the northeastern corner of China. The city limits of Beijing extend some 80km (50mi), including the urban and the suburban areas and the nine counties under its administration - in other words, it's huge. Though it may not appear so in the shambles of arrival, Beijing is a place of very orderly design. Long, straight boulevards and avenues are crisscrossed by a network of lanes. Places of interest are either very easy to find if they're on the avenues, or impossible to find if they're buried down the hutongs (narrow alleys). More information, see the website of http://www.ebeijing.gov.cn/BeijingInformation/
Conference Venue
The Xiyuan Hotel (Address: No. 1,Sanlihe Road, Haidian District,Beijing) is located in the Xicheng neighborhood of Beijing, south of the Haidian District. It is near the Beijing Zoo, Beijing Aquarium and Beijing University, and about a 20 minute walk to a local subway station. There are restaurants and shops within walking distance, including some western ones. Other nearby attractions include Yuyuantan Park, Olympic Park, Beihai Park, Forbidden City, Tian’anmen Square, Summer Palace, and Temple of Heaven. There is a social on evening of 9th July.
