SMALL INDUSTRIES DEVELOPMENT BANK OF INDIA (SIDBI)ABOUT SIDBI• Set up on April 2, 1989. • The Small Industries Development Bank of India Act, 1989
envisaged SIDBI to be “the principle financial institution for the promotion, financing and development of industry in the small scale sector and to co-ordinate the functions of the institution engaged in the promotion and financing or developing industry in the small scale sector and or matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.”
• SIDBI among top 30 development Banks of the World.• SIDBI has 6 product divisions, viz direct financing, bills financing,
refinancing, international finance, micro finance and fixed deposit.
• Recorded highest ever loan disbursals in 2009-10 of ₹31,981 crore and loan sanctions at ₹35,521 crore.
ABOUT COMMERCIAL BANKS• Played a significant role in the SSI movement in India.• With their vast network of branches emerged as an alternative
institutional source for SSI financing. • They are able to attract social domestic savings and respond
quickly to the demand of the SSIs by offering greater variety of services.
• Public Sector Banks remain the Largest Lenders to MSMEs ( micro, small and medium enterprise).

KERALA STATE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (KSIDC)ABOUT KSIDC• Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation Ltd, is the
industrial and investment promotion agency of the government of Kerala, for the promotion and development of medium and lager scale units in the State of Kerala.
• Established in 1961, KSIDC is led by a group of professionals from various fields including Engineering, Management, Finance and Law.

KARNATAKA SMALL SCALE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (KSSIDC)ABOUT KSSIDC• Previously known as Mysore Small Industries Corporation, is
rendering services to the small sector in the State for more than 40 years.
• From 1960, KSSIDC took over the activities relating to the management and setting up of industrial estates and distribution of raw materials and started to give a new orientation to this aspect of development.
AREAS OF FOCUS• Establishment and management of industrial estates• Procurement and distribution of raw materials• Assistance towards marketing • Supply of machinery under hire purchase scheme.• Providing guidance to SSI entrepreneurs.• Providing technical library facilities.
INDUSTRIAL FINANCIAL CORPORATION OF INDIA (IFCI)ABOUT IFCI• It is one of the first public financial institutions set up in 1948
after independence.• The principle objective is to make medium and long-term funds
available to the eligible industrial concerns. • The limit of assistance is 1 crore and can be exceeded with the
permission of Central Government. The period of loan does not exceed 25 years.
• IFCI took Merchant Banking Operations in 1982 under which it provides project counselling, issue management and credit syndication consultancy for sick industrial units.
COMMANALITIES• MSMEs Network of over 3 crore units,
employment over 7 crore, manufacturing over 6000 products, contributes about 45% to manufacturing output and about40% of exports, directly and indirectly.

• Provide assistance in all the ways to the sectors to take care of all activities from procurement, production to distribution.
