Origami is like magic. You begin with a flat piece of paper and end up with a leaping frog, a dog, or a box you can fill with treasure.

Local origami enthusiast Stephen Tran has

taught many origami classes at GVPL over

the years and has shared three of his

favourite models.

Stephen has been folding since he was

a child, and he says that origami helped

him to learn mathematics and geometry.

He loves ‘playing with paper,’ and enjoys sharing his knowledge

of origami.

This bag includes:· Instructions to create three origami

models: a box, a dog, and a

jumping frog

· 6 sheets of origami paper

(extra sheets for practicing)

Let’s make an origami dog

The art of origami is fun and rewarding

for both adults and children. Work

together to make a flat piece of

paper into an origami dog.

When you’ve completed

the folding steps, add eyes

using marker, crayon or

even googly eyes.
