I create most of my paintings using acrylic paint, though some are created using oil pastels. Some paintings are quite spontaneous and free whilst others are more measured and precise, and although I’ve got a variety of different styles I always try to capture something unique and timeless in each piece. This is one of the first pieces I created in what I call a “brush-‐wipe” style.

“Dutch Windmill”

When the wind blows across the flat plains of Holland and can feel quite cold.
In this piece I’ve wanted to capture the windmill heritage of The Netherlands, and capture the wind that blows there in the red, white and blue colours of the Dutch flag.
