2015 Voter Registration Program The path to victory isn’t complicated. We must do a better job of turning out Republicans and recommit to adding voters to the rolls likely to be favorable to our candidates. In 2012, the Democrats comfortably carried the top of the ticket but turned out a smaller percentage of their GOTV universe. That’s because after multiple cycles of Democratic focus on expanding their base, there are more of them than there are of us. Our voter registration program in 2015 is the largest undertaking by the ORP in over a decade – with a goal of strategically registering 400,000 voters likely to be supportive of our candidates. We know there are 15,000 people who have been registered Republicans in other states that have moved to Ohio but have not yet registered here. Also, we’ve identifi ed over 160,000 Ohioans we need to engage utilizing consumer information available to us. In 2015, we are harnessing the power of our new data infrastructure to more deeply target different groups of voters that will result in many thousands of new registration prospects. Our efforts will translate into real voters and real votes - - helping us out pace the Democrats and take back the White House in 2016!
