The Writing Workshops in Cork program takes students into the lush landscape of Ireland to study Theatre, Film, Literature, and Creative Writing. This collaborative environment allows our participants to completely immerse themselves in their creative work through intensive workshops, seminars, and extracurricular activities. Students will also explore the country with excursions to nearby historic and cultural sites, like Dublin, Castle Blarney, Cobh, and Killarney.
Our unique poetry program is directly affiliated with the Ezra Pound Center for Literature at Brunnenburg Castle in Dorf Tirol, Italy. Courses are taught by Dr. John Gery with consultation from Mary de Rachewiltz, Pound’s daughter and author of the memoir Ezra Pound, Father and Teacher. Students live and write on the stately grounds of Brunnenberg Castle, surrounded by a working vineyard and breathtaking views of the Italian Alps. Trace Pound’s historic footsteps with a long weekend in Venice and shorter excursions to Merano, Schloss Tirol, and Hochmuth. Brunnenberg Castle, Italy
