The chemical manufacturer may require a written statement of need and confidentiality agreement as soon as circumstances permit.In a non-emergency, the health professional, employee, or designated representative may provide a written request for disclosure of a chemicals identity. This written request may be denied but the manufacturer must explain how alternate information will satisfy the specific occupational or medical need.
